  • Publication number: 20180077739
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to a shared computing system for use in telecommunications between end-point telecommunication devices of a telecommunications network. In some embodiments, the computing system includes a plurality of session border controllers and a telecommunication connection controller. The border controllers can be configured to be couplable to end-point telecommunication systems, and to send and receive data to and from them. The telecommunication connection controller can be arranged to route media traffic between the border controllers and to establish connections between them so as to transfer media traffic from one end-point telecommunication system to another. A telecommunication network, a method of telecommunications, a computer program and a computer-readable medium can include the shared computing system.

  • Publication number: 20180023260
Abstract: A milling machine has a frame, a rotor, a mixing chamber with a front door and a rear door, and a controller. The controller is in communication with the frame, the rotor, the front door, and the rear door, and configured to operate the milling machine in a travel mode and a work mode. When the travel mode is actuated, the controller raises the rotor to a predetermined position, closes the front door and the rear door, and raises the frame to a predetermined height. When the work mode is actuated, the controller lowers the frame to a predetermined height, lowers the rotor to a predetermined position, and opens the front door and the rear door to predetermined positions.

  • Publication number: 20160326701
Abstract: A rotary mixer utilizes position control technology to determine the position of the rotary mixer on a work surface and a controller determines whether an intended path across a work surface will overlap with a previously pulverized, mixed and modified surface. The rotary mixer utilizes at least one fluid spray bar in the rotor chamber or mixing chamber that extends along the width of the rotor. The fluid spray bar includes a plurality of nozzles spaced apart along the fluid spray bar that may he individually controlled by a nozzle actuator. In the event such an overlap is occurring or will occur, to avoid the application of excess fluid to the already modified surface, the controller directs the nozzle actuator to either reduce or shut off flow through the nozzles that are in alignment with the already modified surface.

  • Publication number: 20160305082
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed. The system may comprise a first stabilization machine and one or more other machines or supply trucks. The system may also include one or more site controllers. The first stabilization machine may include a first stabilization controller. The first stabilization controller may be configured to receive location data and metering information, and to determine and transmit one or more of the following to the appropriate other machine(s), supply truck(s) or site controller(s): resupply time, location/boundaries of the worked surface area, the quantity of passes over the worked surface area, the mixing depth and the moisture content. The other machine(s), supply truck(s) or site controller(s) may each be in communication with user interface(s) on which the transmitted information may be displayed.

  • Patent number: 3976973
Abstract: Variations in scan rate and in position of a character within a field resulting from positional inaccuracies caused by use of a hand-held scanning device and/or loosely constrained document printing mechanisms and techniques are accommodated by sweeping a two-dimensional sensing array of about one character width and several character heights horizontally along a line across the field and applying a matrix of output signals resulting from each character to a recognition unit. Each set of signals is shifted vertically through the recognition unit at a rate such that all cells of the array are scanned in an interval required for movement of the field on the array of less than one resolution cell. Character recognition is attempted for each one-cell-height increment that the set is vertically shifted. A recognition output signal is produced when a character in the shifted set is brought into registration with a set of inputs leading to the recognition unit.
