A liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a first and a second substrate having a liquid crystal region, a sealant region, and an outer region; a wiring disposed on the first substrate, the wiring crossing the sealant region; a gate insulating film disposed on the wiring; an organic insulating film disposed on a portion of the wiring; and a sealant disposed on the sealant region of the first and second substrates, wherein the sealant is in contact with the gate insulating film.

    Abstract: A thin film transistor array substrate and a fabricating method thereof are disclosed. The thin film transistor array substrate protects a thin film transistor without a protective film and accordingly reduces the manufacturing cost. In the thin film transistor array substrate, a gate electrode is connected to a gate line. A source electrode is connected to a data line crossing the gate line to define a pixel area. A drain electrode is opposed to the source electrode with a channel therebetween. A semiconductor layer is in the channel. A pixel electrode in the pixel area contacts the drain electrode over substantially the entire overlapping area between the two. A channel protective film is provided on-the semiconductor layer corresponding to the channel to protect the semiconductor layer.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for keeping contact resistance of a pad low. The present invention also discloses a structure of the pad and a method for manufacturing the same, for use in circuit boards and LCD displays. The pad terminal comprises a first metal layer and a second metal layer covering the first metal layer. The second metal layer is removed before the pad terminal is deposited. Thus, the surface of the pad is clean and contact resistance is kept low, because there are no contaminants on the pad. Furthermore, the present invention discloses a pad having a raised part and a depressed part, enlarging the contact area of the pad. Therefore, contact resistance is reduced, and adhesion between the pad and the pad terminal is enhanced.
