Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring the quality of a video provided in an IP network based media service is provided. The apparatus for measuring Quality of Experience (QoE) guaranteed real-time Internet Protocol (IP)-media video quality, includes: a receiver receiving a transmission video provided through an IP network service platform and an original video corresponding to the transmission video, and extracting frames of the transmission video and the original video; a detector comparing the frames of the transmission video and the original video in real time to obtain a difference between the frames of the transmission video and the original video and detecting a matching segment between the transmission video and the original video; and a measurement unit calculating a QoE parameter using the frames of the transmission video and the original video which correspond to the matching segment.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of improving the quality of a speech codec are provided. In the method, a first energy of a signal decoded by a low-band codec is calculated, and a second energy of a signal decoded by a low-band enhancement mode is calculated. Then, when the first energy is less than a first threshold value or less than a product of the second energy and a second threshold value, a size of the decoded signal is scaled. Accordingly, generation of a quantization error with respect to a silence segment is reduced.

Abstract: The transmission delay of a voice frame can be reduced by performing internal collision resolution and frame aggregation according to the presence or absence of a voice frame awaiting transmission in a MAC layer, thereby reducing an end-to-end voice transmission delay time for a VoIP service.

Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid formulation which allows long-acting G-CSF conjugates, that have improved in vivo duration and stability, to be stable when stored for a long period of time. It comprises a stabilizer composition characterized by buffer and mannitol. Being free of human serum albumin and other potential factors harmful to the body, the liquid formulation is free of concerns about viral infections and guarantees excellent storage stability to long-acting G-CSF conjugates.

Abstract: A post-filtering apparatus and method for speech enhancement in a modified discrete cosine transform (MDCT) domain are disclosed. In the apparatus and method, previous and current MDCT coefficients are used for obtaining a speech spectrum coefficient similar to a real speech spectrum, and a convex function is used for transforming the speech spectrum coefficient and obtaining a post-filter coefficient so that difference can increase in the case where the speech spectrum coefficient is small but decrease in the case where the coefficient is large. Then, the post-filter coefficient is applied to the MDCT coefficient. With this configuration, both the current and previous MDCT values are used, so that it is possible to obtain a spectrum coefficient similar to the real speech spectrum and to obtain a more accurate filter coefficient. Further, the coefficient is adaptively transformed through the convex function, thereby enhancing speech quality.

Abstract: A method for measuring voice quality in a wireless communication network includes measuring an MOS of a signal using a narrowband voice codec and an MOS of a signal using a wideband voice codec in a cable loopback environment, calculating a wideband voice codec correction coefficient using the measured MOS, measuring an MOS of a signal using the narrowband voice codec and an MOS of a signal using the wideband voice codec in a terminal connection environment; and outputting a value obtained by adding the wideband voice codec correction coefficient to the measured MOS in the terminal connection environment.

Abstract: An acoustic echo cancellation device for generating a pseudo echo signal by filtering an input remote speaker signal based on a plurality of adaptive filters and controlling the adaptive filters to filter the same based on a filter coefficient. The acoustic echo cancellation device generates an error signal by subtracting the pseudo echo signal from a nearby speaker signal, determines a convergence state of the filter coefficient based on the error signal, and sets at least one filter coefficient with a previously used value to stop the operation for calculating new values for the corresponding filter coefficients when the filter coefficient is determined to be converged.

Abstract: A direct memory access controller (DMAC) for improving data transmission efficiency in multi-media over internet protocol (MMoIP) and a method therefor are provided. The DMAC requests and obtains a bus control right by determining that a DMA request signal is generated not only when a DMA request signal of a module for processing data in MMoIP is received but also when an operation of a timer operating during a predetermined period set considering periodicity of data in MMoIP is completed. Thus, the time taken to request a bus control right in a conventional DMAC can be reduced, thereby improving data transmission efficiency in MMoIP.

The packet route management device may manage a packet route in an effort to control VoIP voice call based on bandwidth information of packet route devices. Accordingly, the packet route devices may be allowed to process VoIP packets in real time, and thus voice quality can be maintained at a constant level without packet delay or packet loss.

Abstract: An apparatus, electronic apparatus and method for adjusting jitter buffer is provided. A previous jitter buffer size based on a jitter buffer size determined according to an adaptive jitter buffer size calculation algorithm is applied in predicting a jitter buffer size of future time such that the predicted jitter buffer size is applied to obtain a jitter buffer size of a valid time. The audio quality of the speech transmitted over a packet switched network is enhanced.

Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus for encoding and decoding an audio signal. A method for encoding an audio signal includes receiving a transformed audio signal, dividing the transformed audio signal into a plurality of subbands, performing a first sinusoidal pulse coding operation on the subbands, determining a performance region of a second sinusoidal pulse coding operation among the subbands on the basis of coding information of the first sinusoidal pulse coding operation, and performing the second sinusoidal pulse coding operation on the determined performance region, wherein the first sinusoidal pulse coding operation is performed variably according to the coding information. Accordingly, it is possible to further improve the quality of a synthesized signal by considering the sinusoidal pulse coding of a lower layer when encoding or decoding an audio signal in an upper layer by a layered sinusoidal pulse coding scheme.
