  • Patent number: 9832710
Abstract: A method and system for controlling broadcast of system identification. A base station may broadcast in one or more timeslots of a control channel, as a System Identifier (SID) of the base station, a particular SID, but may broadcast in one or more other timeslots of the control channel, as a SID of the base station, a different SID. In addition, when a mobile station registers to be served by the base station, the base station may determine which slot(s) of the control channel the mobile station will monitor and may broadcast in the determined slot(s) a SID that may help to keep the mobile station from transitioning to be served by a different base station.

  • Patent number: 9832688
Abstract: Embodiments are described that may help to provide wireless service in a circuit-switched fall back scenario. In particular, when a user entity (UE) falls back from a first network to a second network to conduct a voice call, the first network may instruct the UE to scan a certain predetermined channel or channels for coverage from the second network. However, certain types of base stations typically operate on unlisted channels that differ from the predetermined channels that the UE is instructed to scan. Accordingly, a UE may pre-emptively scan unlisted channels, and report any unlisted channel that is detected to the first network. The first network can then coordinate with the second network to re-provision the base station that was operating on an unlisted channel, to instead operate on one of the predetermined channels that a UE will be instructed to scan during fall back to the second network.

  • Publication number: 20170293810
Abstract: Within examples, systems and methods of generating a synthetic image representative of an environment of a vehicle are described comprising generating a first image using infrared information from an infrared (IR) camera, generating a second image using laser point cloud data from a LIDAR, generating an embedded point cloud representative of the environment based on a combination of the first image and the second image, receiving navigation information traversed by the vehicle, transforming the embedded point cloud into a geo-referenced coordinate space based on the navigation information, and combining the transformed embedded point cloud with imagery of terrain of the environment to generate the synthetic image representative of the environment of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9771227
Abstract: A layboy conveyor includes a first end and a second end and an upper conveyor having a top and a bottom and a first end and a second end and a lower conveyor having a top and a bottom and a first end and a second end. The lower conveyor top is disposed adjacent to the upper conveyor bottom and defines with the upper conveyor bottom a transport path configured to transport a sheet of material in a direction from the first end of the layboy conveyor to the second end of the layboy conveyor. A drive is operably connected to the upper conveyor and to the lower conveyor, and the drive is configured to drive the upper conveyor bottom and the lower conveyor top in the direction. A length of the lower conveyor top is adjustable.

  • Patent number: 9749468
Abstract: A method for screening an incoming call is provided. The method may include receiving a transmission of the incoming call in a user device. The method may include determining the incoming call originates from an area code of a telephone number associated with the user device. The method may include determining call information associated with a telephone number is stored within a database. The method may include determining at least one previous call from the telephone number has a call duration that does not satisfy a user preconfigured call duration threshold. The method may include determining the at least one determined previous call satisfies a maximum short call duration threshold. The method may also include determining a previous call frequency count satisfies a user preconfigured frequency threshold. The method may further include displaying the incoming call and an incorrectly dialed call notification on a display screen of the user device.

  • Publication number: 20170235723
Abstract: In some embodiments, a non-transitory processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions that when executed cause a processor to select a narrative content template based at least in part on a predetermined content type associated with a real-world and/or virtual event. The code further represents instructions that when executed cause the processor to select a narrative tone type. The code further represents instructions that when executed cause the processor to, for each phrase included in an ordered set of phrases associated with the narrative content template, select, based at least in part on the narrative tone type, a phrase variation from a set of phrase variations associated with that phrase, and define, based on the selected phrase variation and at least one datum from a set of data, a narrative content portion associated with the real-world event. The code further represents instructions that when executed cause the processor to output, at a display, the narrative content portion.
