  • Publication number: 20210137019
Abstract: An agricultural system including an agricultural baler including a rotary input shaft connectable by way of a baler driveline to a rotatable flywheel; a hydraulic pump for supplying the agricultural baler with hydraulic fluid, the rotatable flywheel being connectable to the hydraulic pump via the driveline. The baler is transferrable between a first state for driving the hydraulic pump by external drive power provided by a corresponding work vehicle, and a second state for driving the hydraulic pump by the rotatable flywheel. The agricultural system further includes a control unit that is configured to: receive input-power-data indicative of a drive power available for driving the hydraulic pump in the first state of the baler; and determine a control-signal for transferring the baler into the second state, if the input-power-data indicates that the available drive power is insufficient for driving the hydraulic pump.

  • Patent number: 10977874
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for vehicle event management. The method receives one or more sets of vehicle sensor data from a first vehicle, wherein the one or more sets of vehicle sensor data correspond to one or more sensor systems of the first vehicle. The method further maps the received one or more sets of vehicle sensor data with one or more candidate vehicle events, based on one or more sets of archived vehicle sensor data. The method further identifies one or more relationships between the received one or more sets of vehicle sensor data and the one or more candidate vehicle events, and provides an alert, to the first vehicle, with the identified one or more relationships between the received one or more sets of vehicle sensor data and the one or more candidate vehicle events.

  • Publication number: 20210007535
Abstract: A filter assembly that includes a receptacle, filter, and filter holder. The receptacle has an inside surface defining an open-ended first through-channel. The filter is positioned inside the first through-channel and configured to produce a filtered liquid by filtering particulates each larger than a predetermined size from a liquid. The filtered liquid exits the filter through an outlet opening of the filter. The filter holder removably couples the filter to the receptacle. A holding area configured to receive the liquid is defined in the first through-channel above the filter holder and between the filter and the inside surface of the receptacle. The filter holder includes an open-ended second through-channel in fluid communication with the outlet opening and configured to receive the filtered liquid from the outlet opening. The second through-channel is configured to be in fluid communication with an interior of a container and to provide the filtered liquid thereto.

  • Publication number: 20200399962
Abstract: Disclosed are systems for securing a bend stiffener to a riser in an offshore energy production facility. In one system, the lower end of the bend stiffener has a magnet that repels a magnet in a clamp on the riser a distance below the bend stiffener. The magnets repel one another with a force during operation to decelerate falling and prevent contact between the clamp and the bend stiffener. Methods are provided for retrofitting a riser system by adding the magnets. In another system, the riser has an upper portion and a tapered portion immediately below the upper portion. The outer diameter of the tapered portion increases such that the tapered portion can be friction fit into the lower end of the bend stiffener in the event that the bend stiffener is forced down or free falls onto the riser.

  • Publication number: 20200324715
Abstract: A roof ditch molding, roof ditch molding assembly, method of constructing a roof ditch molding, and method of assembling a roof ditch molding into a roof ditch of a vehicle are provided. The roof ditch molding includes an elongate metal substrate having an outer surface and an inner surface with opposite edge regions extending along a direction of a longitudinal axis between opposite ends. The inner surface faces and delimits an elongate channel extending between the opposite ends. The opposite edge regions are spaced from one another for snapping receipt of a plurality of fasteners therebetween, thereby eliminating the need for supplemental fastening features to fixedly secure the roof ditch molding within the roof ditch.

  • Publication number: 20200284146
Abstract: A cutting tool with a cutting region and a connecting support region where the support region is designed to connect to an external motor assembly. The cutting tool is also has a porous region that is integrated within a portion of the tool such that as the tool cuts material the porous region can allow samples of the cut material to permeate into an internal chamber of the tool. Once in the internal chamber material samples can be analyzed in-situ for direct composition analysis.

  • Patent number: 10719192
Abstract: A media universe (MU) system may leverage network-based resources to store and maintain a database of content for a world encompassed by the media universe. One or more layers of content including a client layer may be overlaid on a base or canonical layer of content in the MU database to enable an immersive client experience within the media universe. Clients may participate within the media universe via the MU system, for example to create customized digital assets. Client-generated content or other content may be dynamically integrated into digital media based within the media universe, for example by leveraging the repository to store and access the client-generated content, and network-based computing resources to dynamically insert the content into digital media for streaming to the clients. Client-generated content may be promoted to intermediate layers and/or to canon within the MU database, for example by community voting, popularity, and so on.

  • Patent number: 10677910
Abstract: A system is provided for wirelessly locating objects. The system has a transceiver unit with an antenna array of two partially overlapping coils, which is used in combination with a passive electromagnetic reflector to track or locate the objects. The system is tuned to reflect and receive higher order harmonics of a transmitted signal frequency. The system is reliable in a highly reflective environment with no placement error detection due to reflections. A relatively large distance can be bridged with a minimum power and a small sensitive area to detect the coils, which increase the accuracy to determine the location of the electromagnetic reflector.

  • Patent number: 10564820
Abstract: A media universe system may leverage network-based computation resources and services, for example a streaming service, and a digital asset repository or repository service to dynamically provide active content in digital media of the media universe streamed to the client. An asset repository may contain digital assets including 3D models of objects and characters used in the digital media. Client interactions with digital media via a client interface may be mapped to particular objects, characters, locations, etc. within the media universe according to the digital assets from the repository. Most or all content within a rendered scene streamed to a client device may be rendered as active content. Clients may interact with the active content to, for example, obtain contextual information about the corresponding objects, manipulate and explore objects, discover hidden content, reveal hidden storylines, order merchandise (e.g., via 3D printing) related to the content, etc.

  • Publication number: 20200022388
Abstract: A process to obtain a semi-solid solution to be used as a food coating, obtained from extracts of rosemary and other antioxidant components is disclosed. This process shows various advantages, namely, the obtention of the rosemary extract, which main components are rosmarinic and carnosic acid, and carnosol, are obtained easily without the use of polluting solvents, and showing a good yield and a strong antioxidant capacity. The coating solution has few ingredients and all of them are harmless to human health, beyond being cheap and easy to obtain, allowing the preservation of food in a natural way, without needing additional processing or plastics, in line with many studies that refer this tendency in consumers.
