  • Patent number: 8863022
Abstract: Two different process management views can be displayed, and a user can request to switch between the two views. The user can select a process in either view and have the selected process terminated. One view is a simplified view that identifies processes and whether they are non-responsive. The other view is an expanded view that identifies processes and the amount of various system resources used by each of those processes. Various additional information can be displayed in the expanded view, such as identifiers of various windows, tabs, and/or services associated with each of the processes.

  • Publication number: 20140210356
Abstract: A first lighting assembly receives a lighting profile that instructs the first lighting assembly to operate according to the lighting profile over a first period of time. The received lighting profile is implemented, including causing a light of the first lighting assembly to illuminate at a first intensity. An input acquired in proximity to the first lighting assembly and indicating activity in a region proximate the first lighting assembly is received. The received lighting profile is then deviated from, in response to the received input, by increasing the intensity of the light to illuminate at a second intensity for a predetermined period of time. A message is transmitted for receipt by the control center, the message including an indication of the increased light intensity and an identifier associated with the first lighting assembly.

  • Patent number: 8781973
Abstract: In a method of processing customer applications at an event, an application is received from a customer on a customer interface computer. The data in said application is verified on the customer interface computer and encrypted. The encrypted data is transmitted wirelessly to a portal computer via a private wireless network, and then transmitted to a processing computer system for approval of the application.

  • Publication number: 20130030577
Abstract: A method of detecting and responding to a threat condition includes receiving, at a sensing module, an input acquired in proximity to a pipeline of a fluid distribution system, the input including data associated with a vibration measurement of the pipeline acquired by a sensor exterior of the pipeline. The method also includes determining whether the input indicates a threat condition by comparing the data to a previously recorded baseline vibration measurement. The method further includes automatically closing a first fluid transmission valve in response to a determined threat condition, thereby restricting flow of fluid through the pipeline in a vicinity of the first fluid transmission valve, and wirelessly transmitting a message for receipt by a control module that is remote from the sensing module, the message including indications of the determined threat condition, the first fluid transmission valve, and an identifier associated with the sensing module.

  • Publication number: 20070192120
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for determining the current replacement value of plants, trees, shrubs, and other landscape architectural objects by identifying the object; uploading information about the object and its location to a relational database which is used to construct average current replacement values; using the database to compare identified landscape architectural objects of a specific type and at a specific size against known wholesale pricing information from nurseries across the country to select valid nursery prices; averaging all valid prices for landscape architectural objects at a single nursery to derive a nursery average; extrapolating and interpolating price points at sizes not being sold by the nursery to create a complete size/price curve for a nursery; averaging that nursery curve with all other valid nursery prices to construct a national, and regional, average; and applying a market-based multiplier against the derived average wholesale prices to accommodate for the professional
