  • Publication number: 20220247584
Abstract: A method for verifying a material data chain (MDC) that is maintained by a creator is disclosed. The method includes receiving an unverified portion of the MDC from the creator including a set of consecutive material data blocks (MDBs). Each respective MDB includes respective material data, respective metadata, and a creator verification value. The method includes modifying a genomic differentiation object assigned to the verification cohort based on first genomic regulation instructions (GRI) that were used by the creator to generate the creator verification value. For each MDB in the unverified portion, the method includes determining a verifier verification value based on the MDB, a preceding MDB in the MDC, and a genomic engagement factor (GEF) determined with respect to the MDB. The GEF corresponding to an MDB is determined by extracting a sequence from the metadata of a MDB and mapping the sequence into the modified genomic differentiation object.

  • Publication number: 20220240495
Abstract: A trap has a housing including an entrance. Internally, the trap has a trigger structure including a trigger plate and a latch mechanism, coupled with the housing; and a pivoting structure pivotally coupled with the housing and adapted to releasably engage with the latch mechanism of the trigger structure. When the trap is triggered by a rodent, the pivoting structure disengages from the latch mechanism and the pivoting structure pivots towards a rear wall of the housing and the trigger plate, and the trigger plate pivots toward the pivoting structure, moving the rodent against towards the rear wall of the housing and trapping the rodent between the pivoting structure and the rear wall. Once the trap is triggered, the rodent is contained and in most cases, killed, within the trap.

Abstract: A field-replaceable unit is reversibly secured in place using two captive fasteners. Each fastener includes a telescoping knob that rotates 180 degrees in a first direction to engage a latch mechanism and rotates 180 degrees in the opposite direction to disengage the latch mechanism. The knob automatically extends when the latch mechanism is disengaged. The knob alternately extends and retracts in response to being successively pressed when the latch mechanism is engaged. The knob has two cutaways formed along outside edges to facilitate a two-finger grip for knob rotation and pulling the unit out of another module. A circular groove centered on an axis of rotation of the knob has a contrasting coloration and provides a visual and tactile indication of know location.
