  • Patent number: 11547860
Abstract: A medical device with closed-loop responsive stimulation may include techniques to mitigate the impact on the therapy output of noise coupled into the medical device. A medical device according to this disclosure may determine the presence of noise and alter the closed loop policy to provide the necessary therapy to the patient and avoid prolonged under stimulation caused by the noise. The medical device may continue therapy, while testing for noise. When the device determines the noise level no longer affects the output therapy, the device may return the closed loop policy to a no-noise mode of operation. The medical device may also include techniques to mitigate the impact of manual adjustment while the medical device is subject to noise or is responding to changes in the patient's physiological signals.

  • Patent number: 11544607
Abstract: A machine learning architecture employs two machine learning networks that are joined by a statistical model allowing the imposition of a predetermined statistical model family into a learning process in which the networks translate between and data types. For example, the statistical model may enforce a Gaussian conditional probability between the latent variables in the translation process. In one application, MRI images may be translated into PET images with reduced mode collapse, blurring, or other “averaging” type behaviors.

  • Patent number: 11526399
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe implementing bitmap-based data replication when a primary form of data replication between a source device and a target device cannot be used. According to one example, a temporal identifier may be received from the target device. If the source device determines that the primary replication method is unable to be used to replicate data associated with the temporal identifier, a secondary replication method may be initiated. The secondary replication method may utilize a recovery bitmap identifying data blocks that have changed on the source device since a previous event.

  • Publication number: 20220376642
Abstract: A control module comprises software instructions for execution by an electronic data processor. An inductance estimator is configured to estimate direct inductance and quadrature inductance associated with the electric machine based on a first set of equations that assume constant rotor resistance and constant magnetic flux. A torque estimator is configured to estimate an observed torque associated with a rotor of the electric machine based a commanded direct-axis voltage and a commanded quadrature-axis voltage, where the observed torque is proportional to the observed power consumption of the electric machine. A pulse-width-modulation (PWM) module is configured to provide pulse-width modulated signals to the electric machine based on the commanded direct-axis voltage and a commanded quadrature-axis voltage. A back-electromotive force adjustment is derived from an estimated, observed torque and a commanded torque.

  • Patent number: 11508249
Abstract: Method for taking a test using a smartphone including placing the smartphone into connection with a device, placing the device on a head of a person with the smartphone in a position in which a display of the smartphone is visible to the person, coupling the smartphone to the device and displaying test questions on the display. Cheating is detected by, for example, monitoring presence of the device on the head of the person by periodically obtaining biometric data from the person and analyzing a change in the biometric data relative to previously obtained biometric data for the person, and when a change is present, stopping display of the test questions and generating and transmitting a communication to a test-providing institution derived from the change in biometric data.

  • Patent number: 11498009
Abstract: A system for waterparks or other uses wherein the system combines an electric pump system that can draw water from a lake, a pool or the sea, and pump it through a hose system and sprinklers that can wet objects on or in the water such as a waterpark. It can be connected to floating platforms or other structures that can elevate the sprinklers off the water. The system features an inflatable platform that has an inflatable tower that allows a hose to extend from underwater, through the center of the tower, to a spray nozzle atop the tower that sprays water in any direction. The system can also be attached to any other waterpark structure with various fittings. This will allow a slow drip of water on some items so as to keep them slippery and wet.

  • Publication number: 20220359912
Abstract: A coated hybrid electrode for a composite solid-state battery cell is disclosed. Systems and methods are further provided for forming an electrolyte coating including a solid ionically conductive polymer material in the coated hybrid electrode. In one example, the coated hybrid electrode can include an anode material coating, the solid polymer electrolyte coating, and a cathode material coating, such that the solid polymer electrolyte coating can function as a separator coating between the anode material coating and the cathode material coating, thus eliminating a need for a conventional battery separator. In some examples, a slurry-based coating process can be utilized for forming the solid polymer electrolyte coating. As such, the solid polymer electrolyte coating can be mechanically robust with uniform thickness. Further, a battery cell can be formed by utilizing a sub-assembly stacking technique to provide battery cell stiffness and increase precision and accuracy of coating.

  • Patent number: 11491723
Abstract: A consumable assembly for supplying filament to a 3D printer includes a spool-less filament coil, a payout tube, and a compressive band. The coil of filament is wound in a configuration having a generally cylindrical outer perimeter and an open interior; the coil has a payout hole extending from an inner layer of the coil to an outer layer of the coil and includes a filament strand configured to be withdrawn through the payout hole in response to a pull force, to thereby withdraw filament from the interior of the coil. The payout tube is disposed in the payout hole and provides a filament port. A compressive band is disposed over the outer layer and is configured to exert a compressive radial force on the coil so that the coil maintains its cylindrical shape without deformation, and the filament strand may be drawn through the filament outlet free of kinks, twists or tangles.
