  • Publication number: 20190154091
Abstract: A disconnect plunger for use in an integrated drive generator includes a plunger body extending between a first end and a second end. A cam surface is formed on the second end, and has a cylindrical cam portion extending across the second end. The cylindrical cam portion has a location formed at a radius about a point spaced beyond the second end relative to the first end. A first distance is defined from a second end facing surface of a cylindrical guide portion positioned intermediate first and second end. A ratio of the first radius to the first distance is between 0.15 and 0.30. The point is spaced in a direction perpendicular to a center axis of the plunger body, and measured from the center axis by a second distance. A ratio of the second distance to the first radius is between 0.25 and 0.40. An integrated drive generator and a method of replacing a disconnect shaft are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10290876
Abstract: A lithium-ion battery including an electrodeposited anode material having a micron-scale, three-dimensional porous foam structure separated from interpenetrating cathode material that fills the void space of the porous foam structure by a thin solid-state electrolyte which has been reductively polymerized onto the anode material in a uniform and pinhole free manner, which will significantly reduce the distance which the Li-ions are required to traverse upon the charge/discharge of the battery cell over other types of Li-ion cell designs, and a procedure for fabricating the battery are described. The interpenetrating three-dimensional structure of the cell will also provide larger energy densities than conventional solid-state Li-ion cells based on thin-film technologies. The electrodeposited anode may include an intermetallic composition effective for reversibly intercalating Li-ions.

  • Patent number: 10291004
Abstract: This invention provides a molded means constructed of casted metal. The trough's interior is weather resistant by means of a removable cover, insulation and housing. Preformed holes and thinned concave sections of the housing can be removed to provide a means for the trough to be affixed to a vertex of a substantially ninety degree corner of a structure, a flat surface or a cylindrical object. The trough also has a plurality of connectors to fasten electrical components. This invention is constructed to provide satisfactory volume to meet electrical authority standards. The housing has a plurality of threaded connectors and removable thinned circular sections for attaching conduits and electrical components. The housing has a weatherproof sealing gasket pad with a sticker side to be placed on the back of the housing before mounting to prevent moisture. The front cover has a weatherproof sealing gasket along the inner perimeter to prevent moisture.

  • Publication number: 20190131477
Abstract: Solar cells having emitter regions composed of wide bandgap semiconductor material are described. In an example, a method includes forming, in a process tool having a controlled atmosphere, a thin dielectric layer on a surface of a semiconductor substrate of the solar cell. The semiconductor substrate has a bandgap. Without removing the semiconductor substrate from the controlled atmosphere of the process tool, a semiconductor layer is formed on the thin dielectric layer. • Publication number: 20190106946
Abstract: A connector for a coiled tubing end anchors internally and seals externally. The anchor profile is split with a gap to clear an internal spline without need to remove the spline to allow a seal to enter the coiled tubing since the seal is mounted internally to a sleeve that envelops the end of the coiled tubing. Component relative rotation extends the internal anchor radially against the coiled tubing inner wall to secure the connection with the seal engaged to the coiled tubing outer wall.
