  • Patent number: 12062757
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for a slurry for coating an electrode structure. In one example, a method may include dispersing, by mixing at one or both of a high shear and a low shear, a solid ionically conductive polymer material in at least a first portion of a solvent to form a suspension, then dispersing, by mixing at the one or both of the high shear and the low shear, one or more additives in the suspension, and then mixing, at the one or both of the high shear and the low shear, a second portion of the solvent with the suspension to form a slurry. As such, the slurry including the solid ionically conductive polymer material may be applied as a coating in a solid-state battery cell, which may reduce resistance to Li-ion transport and improve mechanical stability relative to a conventional solid-state battery cell.

  • Publication number: 20240264660
Abstract: A computer implemented method for facilitating user interface interactions in an XR environment is provided. The method incudes rendering a system UI and tracking a position of user's hand. The method further includes signifying an interaction opportunity by generating first feedback that modifies a UI element based on position of user's hand being within first threshold distance of the UI element or by generating second feedback that accentuates an edge of the system UI based on the position of user's hand being within second threshold distance of the edge. Furthermore, the method includes updating the position of the user's hand. The method further includes signifying interaction with the UI element by modifying location of representation of the user's hand, when the user's hand has interacted with the UI element or signifying interaction with the edge by generating third feedback that accentuates the portion of the representation that grabs the edge.

  • Patent number: 12040594
Abstract: A vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) has a shortened overall laser cavity by combining the gain section with a distributed Bragg reflector (DBR). The overall cavity length can be contracted by placing gain structures inside the DBR. This generally applies to a number of semiconductor material systems and wavelength bands, but this scheme is very well suited to the AlGaAs/GaAs material system with strained InGaAs quantum wells as a gain medium, for example.

  • Publication number: 20240231998
Abstract: The disclosure relates to systems and methods of modeling recovery of a Computer Network System (CNS) based on real-world recovery operations that are non-linear. The system may use a bin packing model that simulates recovery that eliminates idle times in linear estimates for data recovery. For example, the bin packing model may model recovery by actively simulating real-world conditions during recovery in a non-linear fashion. In particular, the bin packing model may fill the active bin with data objects that can be processed and the queue will include data objects waiting to be recovered. As a data object in the active bin is recovered, recovery of another data object may be made available. As such, the bin packing model may move a data object in the queue to the active bin as recovery progresses. Such progression is non-linear and modeled as such.
