  • Publication number: 20220222264
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for how to select, suggest, and modify content, which is relevant to the user, on a user interface. The system does this by combining physiological data, location data, and historical data to create a multi-dimensional user state of the user, where at least one dimension is time. The system also identifies available content, ranks the available content based on the multi-dimensional user state, and transmits a user interface a suggestion for a top-ranked item within the ranked list of available content.

  • Patent number: 11349660
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for self-identification of a device. The disclosure utilizes generation of a public/private key pair, within the device itself, and completes at least a portion of an authentication process within the device itself using a securely stored private key that never leaves the device. By not transferring the private key away from the device, potential vulnerabilities of known systems due to transfer of identification information during or after manufacturing is effectively eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20220166872
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to voiceprint tracking and anomaly detection. A computing platform may detect voice information from a call management system. The computing platform may establish voiceprints for employees and clients of an enterprise. The computing platform may detect a call between an employee and a caller attempting to access a client account. The computing platform may identify a first voiceprint corresponding to the employee and a second voiceprint corresponding to the caller. The computing platform may compare the second voiceprint to a known voiceprint corresponding to the client. Based on the comparison of the second voiceprint to the known voiceprint, the computing platform may determine that the second voiceprint does not match the known voiceprint. The computing platform may identify that the second voiceprint corresponds to another employee of the enterprise, and may send a security notification indicating potential unauthorized account access to an enterprise computing device.

  • Patent number: 11336632
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to generating composite user identities in a distributed computing system. According to one embodiment, an example method generally includes transmitting, to a plurality of identity providers, a request for user identity information. A service provider receives, from a subset of the plurality of identity providers, the user identity information and selects a subset of the received user identity information to be used in verifying an identity of a user based, at least in part, on a reputation score associated with each identity provider in the subset of identity providers. The service provider generates a composite user identity based on the selected subset of the received user identity information. The service provider takes one or more actions to enable use of a service based on the generated composite user identity.

  • Patent number: 11314597
Abstract: A replica management system facilitates maintaining a distributed and fault-tolerant state for a variable over an Information Centric Network (ICN) by replicating the variable across a set of ICN nodes. During operation, a variable-hosting ICN node can receive an Interest that includes a value-updating command for a replica instance of the variable, current values for a set of replicas of the variable, and a new value for the variable. The ICN node can determine, based on the current values for the set of replica variables, whether the current value for the local replica variable is an authoritative value. If so, the ICN node updates the local replica variable to the new value. However, if the current local value is not the authoritative value, the ICN node rolls back a state of the local replica variable to a previous state, and updates the local replica variable to the new value.

  • Patent number: 11263591
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for managing contacts for a communication system by storing contact information in a centralized storage system and permitting receiving users to access the centralized contact information storage system using a token passed with communications from a sending user. The communications system may be a trusted network with trusted sending and receiving members. Each communications system member provides contact information the member may wish to make available to other parties. The member may also create a policy defining which contact information may be made available to different classes of users. A member of the communications system generates a message to send to a receiving user. A token that identifies the sending user to the communications system is embedded into the message to be sent to the receiving user.

  • Publication number: 20210407029
Abstract: Systems for dynamically detecting and controlling unauthorized activity are presented. In some examples, a request for a withdrawal may be received by a self-service kiosk. A plurality of bills may be transferred from a storage area to a dispensing device of the self-service kiosk. In some examples, the plurality of bills may be scanned to capture data associated with each bill. This data may be stored in a bill identification database. An error notification may be received by the self-service kiosk from a user. In response, bills within the self-service kiosk may be scanned to identify unique identifiers associated with the bills in the self-service kiosk. If the bills identified as dispensed are present, an error or malfunction has occurred and a user account may be credited. If the bills are not present, the activity may be identified as unauthorized activity and one or more mitigating actions may be executed.

  • Patent number: 11201857
Abstract: A domain transcendent file cryptology network includes a first data cryptology node in a first data domain having a first security protocol. A hardware processor of the first data cryptology node executes a first instantiation of a software code to receive a request to transfer a data file from the first data domain to a second data domain having a second, different, security protocol, obtain one or more characteristics of the data file, and generate an authentication tag for the data file based on the characteristic(s). The first instantiation of the software code also encrypts the data file and transmits the encrypted data file, the authentication tag, and a decryption key to a second data cryptology node in the second data domain. The decryption key and the authentication tag enable decryption of the encrypted data file by a second instantiation of the software code on the second data cryptology node.

  • Publication number: 20210371063
Abstract: A system for a marine vessel includes a first peripheral device including a controller, and a second peripheral device. A first serial bus connects the controller to the second peripheral device. At least one sensor is coupled to the controller via a second serial bus. The first peripheral device's controller can do one or more of the following: automatically control switches in the first peripheral device in response to information from the sensor; stage the first peripheral device upon start-up of the system; diagnose a malfunction of the first peripheral device and control the second peripheral device in response to determining that the first peripheral device is malfunctioning; and/or report a status of the first peripheral device over the serial bus.

  • Patent number: 11180005
Abstract: A system such as a vehicle may have windows. A window may have a structural window layer such as a structural window layer formed from laminated glass layers. A thin chemically strengthened glass layer may be coupled to an inwardly facing surface of the structural window layer. A guest-host liquid crystal light modulator layer or other electrically adjustable optical component layer may be interposed between the chemically strengthened glass layer and the structural window layer. An infrared light-blocking coating may be formed on an inwardly facing surface of one of the pair of laminated glass layers. The inwardly facing surface of the thin chemically strengthened glass layer may be provided with a coating that includes a low emissivity layer to block heat and that serves as an antireflection coating.

  • Publication number: 20210342797
Abstract: Systems for dynamically detecting and controlling unauthorized activity are presented. In some examples, a request for deposit may be received by a self-service kiosk. One or more items may be submitted for deposit and may be evaluated. In some examples, evaluating the one or more items for deposit may include evaluating the items to determine whether they include metal or other material not associated with valid items for deposit, evaluating security features such as watermarks, embedded threads, ink colors, and the like, to determine whether they correspond to valid items for deposit, and the like. If the evaluated items are valid items for deposit, the deposit may be processed. If not, one or more mitigating actions may be executed to capture additional information, lock a user account, or the like.

  • Patent number: 11155327
Abstract: A trolling motor has a steering motor transmitting torque to a steering shaft, which is coupled to a lower propulsion unit such that rotation of the steering shaft rotates the propulsion unit about a steering axis. A controller is in signal communication with the steering motor. A foot pedal in signal communication with the controller has a foot pad pivotable about a pivot axis and sends electrical steering signals to the controller (and thus steering motor) in response to pivoting of the foot pad. A variable resistance device is coupled to the foot pedal and controllable to vary resistance to pivoting of the foot pad about the pivot axis based on a position, velocity, acceleration, and/or jerk of the steering shaft. Additionally or alternatively, the variable resistance device provides haptic feedback to a user via the foot pad to inform the user about information related to the trolling motor system.
