  • Patent number: 10579265
Abstract: A digital asset management application stores a mixture of original and lossy assets in a user's local storage resource. This mixture is dynamically adjusted in response to usage patterns and availability of local storage. If local storage is limited, the number of original assets stored locally is reduced. If local storage resources are critically low, lossy assets are purged. A user's interactions with his/her digital assets are monitored, and assets that are perceived to be less important to a user are purged from local storage before assets that are perceived to be more important. An asset may be deemed to be “important” based on any number of relevant criteria, such as user selection, user rating, or user interaction. Coordinating asset allocation between local and cloud-based storage resources requires little or no active management on behalf of the user, thus transparently providing the user with the benefits of cloud storage.

  • Publication number: 20200030158
Abstract: A method of making an elastic composite is described that entails conveying a first sheet of material on a conveyor, and wrapping a section of elastic about the first sheet and the conveyor, thereby applying elastics cross directionally across the first sheets. A second sheet of material is applied onto the first sheet having elastics applied thereon, thereby creating a subcomposite including the first sheet, the second sheet, and elastics sandwiched therebetween, wherein a plurality of elastics extend outward from the one side of the subcomposite, about the conveyor, and return into an opposite side of the subcomposite.

  • Patent number: 10518804
Abstract: A steering system and method for a vehicle having steerable front and rear wheels has rear hydraulic steering device that may be coupled to one or more of the rear wheels. A rear valve assembly may hydraulically control the rear hydraulic steering device to steer the rear wheels based upon a rear steering command from a controller. In a manual steering mode, the controller does not determine a rear steering command for the rear valve assembly such that the rear wheels are freely rotatable. In a rear steering assist mode, the controller determines the rear steering command based upon, at least in part, the manual steering input.

  • Patent number: 10523796
Abstract: Techniques for embedding fabric addressing information within Ethernet media access control (MAC) addresses is disclosed herein and allows a multi-node fabric having potentially millions of nodes to feature Ethernet encapsulation without the necessity of a lookup or map to translate MAC addresses to fabric-routable local identifiers (LIDs). In particular, a locally-administered MAC address may be encoded with fabric addressing information including a LID. Thus a node may exchange Ethernet packets using a multi-node fabric by encapsulating each Ethernet packet with a destination MAC address corresponding to an intended destination. As the destination MAC address may implicitly map to a LID of the multi-node fabric, the node may use an extracted LID value therefrom to address a fabric-routable packet. To this end, a node may introduce a fabric-routable packet encapsulating an Ethernet packet onto a multi-node fabric without necessarily performing a lookup to map a MAC address to a corresponding LID.
