  • Patent number: 11718337
Abstract: A handle release and locking mechanism for a wagon is provided. The mechanism has a pivotable drum, a handle secured to the drum, a release pedal, a main shaft about which the drum and release pedal pivot, and a locking pin. The release pedal moves from a locked position to an unlocked position by a user. The locking pin extends through the release pedal and the drum, and moves from a first position to a second position via movement of the release pedal. When the locking pin is in the first position the handle is locked in a generally vertical position. When the release pedal is moved to the unlocked position the locking pin is moved to the second position and the handle and pivotable drum can pivot about the main shaft.

  • Patent number: 11358675
Abstract: A lockable steering mechanism for a children's ride-on vehicle is provided. The steering mechanism has a steering shaft coupled to a steering link that is coupled to the vehicle's front wheels. A steering wheel is axially fixed to the steering shaft. A lifter guide is rotationally and axially fixed to the steering shaft, and a lifter is rotationally fixed to and axially moveable about the lifter guide. A rotatable locking ring rotates from a first position to a second position. The lifter engages the steering wheel when the locking ring is in the first position to rotationally fix the steering wheel to the steering shaft. The lifter is rotationally decoupled from the steering wheel when the locking ring is in a second position to rotationally decouple the steering wheel from the steering shaft.

  • Patent number: 10279694
Abstract: A ride-on vehicle is provided that has a speed controlled switching system. The ride-on vehicle has a vehicle body having a driver's seat, a plurality of wheels, a motor, a battery electrically connected to the motor, a direction switch assembly electrically connected between the battery and the motor, and a speed switch electrically connected between the direction switch assembly and the motor. The direction switch assembly has a forward button and a reverse button, and is proximal the driver's seat in the vehicle body. The speed switch has a high speed setting and a low speed setting and is distal the driver's seat and generally not accessible by a rider seated in the driver's seat. When the reverse button is actuated the direction switch assembly causes the voltage observed by the motor to be at the low speed setting regardless of the setting of the speed switch.
