  • Publication number: 20040072973
Abstract: A polymerization process and a catalyst delivery system are provided. For example, a polymerization process is described, including providing a conduit having a catalyst inlet, a first propylene stream inlet located downstream of the catalyst inlet, and a second propylene stream inlet located downstream of the first propylene stream inlet, the conduit being operably connected to a polymerization vessel, introducing a catalyst to the conduit through the catalyst inlet, and passing the catalyst through the conduit to the polymerization vessel. The process may further include introducing a first propylene stream to the conduit to provide a mixed catalyst stream downstream of the catalyst inlet. The process may additionally include stopping the flow of the catalyst passing through the conduit, introducing a second propylene stream to the conduit through the second propylene stream inlet, removing a section of the conduit, and replacing the removed section of the conduit with a different conduit section.

  • Publication number: 20030193155
Abstract: A remanufactured vehicle wheel suspension assembly for use with a vehicle involved in a front-end collision. Assembly includes a coil spring is which compressed onto a strut/shock absorber by insertion of an upper insulator into the top on the coil spring. The coil spring, strut/shock absorber and upper insulator will be from the group consisting of remanufactured, original manufacturer or salvage parts. The ease of installation and use of discarded salvage parts are cost effective and labor efficient for collision repair diagnosis.

  • Publication number: 20030130850
Abstract: A computer system has a notification manager for playing a message to a user by selecting one of a plurality of audio notifications. The method includes the step of setting a priority level for each notification arriving into a queue. The notification is inserted into a position in the queue based upon the priority level of the notification, such that the audio notifications at the queue top have a generally higher priority than audio notifications at the queue bottom. The notification at the top of the queue can be selected if the priority level of the notification is greater than a predetermined gate level. Once a notification is selected, a message corresponding to the selected notification is played to the user.

  • Publication number: 20030074979
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring the penetration depth of a blunt object before failure of a film sample, such as a glove. Failure occurs when a film sample secured to a column ruptures from the force applied by a stylus. The penetration depth of the blunt object is equal to the distance traveled by the stylus under the method of the invention. With the measurement of the penetration depth and the force applied by the stylus, a quantitative measurement of the rupture strength of the film sample is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20010056417
Abstract: A method and apparatus for searching an electronically stored table of information including a plurality of table entries and facilitating high speed searching of a table to provide a longest matching entry. The table searching method uses at least one memory unit having a table of information including a plurality of data entries. The table of information has a plurality of search keys associated with the plurality of data entries and the plurality of search keys form a tree structure based on a prefix length for each of the search keys. The plurality of search keys are expanded such that each of the plurality of search keys has two lowest level search keys associated therewith that cover a lowest level of the tree structure. A binary search of the lowest level search keys is performed based on a search value to determine a longest prefix match. A data entry of the plurality of data entries is output based on said longest prefix match.

  • Patent number: 6231542
Abstract: A control mechanism for a catheter with a distal anchor. Suture threads extend from the anchor to the control mechanism. A first body contains a reel with a radial port through which the suture threads extend to be received in a termination structure on a second, partially concentric and axially coextensive body of the control mechanism. Rotation of the second body wraps and unwraps the sutures about the reel thereby to remove or introduce slack into the suture threads after the anchor device forms. Removing slack in the suture threads prevents complete straightening of the anchor device and therefore inadvertent removal of the catheter from the patient.

  • Patent number: 6159177
Abstract: A drainage catheter includes a tubular member with an anchor at a distal end and suture threads extending from the anchor to the proximal ends of the tubular member. A locking mechanism attaches to the proximal end of the tubular member and includes a body with an extension of the lumen. A displaceable body in the locking mechanism body attaches to the proximal end of the sutures to control the amount of slack or tension in the suture threads. An extension of that displaceable body lies externally of the locking mechanism body to enable the operation of the displaceable body without handling the suture threads.

  • Patent number: 5740872
Abstract: A material for applying hardfacings to the teeth of steel tooth rolling cutter drill bits comprises a mixture of refractory metal carbide, such as tungsten carbide, cobalt and metallic matrix powders formed into a core structure and surrounded by a thin metallic sheath. The metallic matrix powders include iron, deoxidizers and alloy powders. The ratio by weight of the metallic matrix powders to the sheath exceeds 2.5, so that the core structure provides most of the matrix material for the hardfacing and only a small proportion of such material is provided by the thin sheath, which may have a thickness of only 0.001" to 0.010". The core structure may include an organic binder, such as methylcellulose, to provide strength and to prevent segregation of the core materials.

  • Patent number: 5133470
Abstract: A tamper-proof plastic vial is rendered tamper-proof during transport to and from a specimen-receiving site. The vial comprises a container and cap molded together in one piece. The cap is inserted onto the container during the manufacturing phase and is secured thereto by a first destructible connector in the form of an arrow-like projection so that the integrity of the container is ensured until a specimen is received. Thereafter, a second destructible member in the form of a flexible one-way strip is attached to form a second destructible connection. The container carries an outer channel which receives a peripheral edge of the cap to establish a tortuous bacterial path and to resist accidental opening of the cap. The first destructible connection is created in response to a controlled shrinkage of the assembly during the cooling phase of manufacturing.

  • Patent number: 5108029
Abstract: A reclosable attachment for containers for permitting the contents of the container to be discharged from the container includes a flange member, a cylindrical extension that extends from one side of the flange member, and a cylindrical stem that extends from the opposite side of the flange member. A cap is connected to the flange member and is adapted to be engaged and disengaged with the cylindrical extension in order to permit or prevent the discharge of the contents from the container. A feature is also provided on the reclosable attachment for preventing someone from unknowingly tampering with the container and for preventing the cap from being accidentally opened. Several spaced apart ledges which extend radially outwardly from the outer peripheral surface of the stem can also be provided for maintaining the position of the attachment relative to the container.

  • Patent number: 5012941
Abstract: A tamper-proof container and cap assembly includes apertured flanges disposed on the container and cap, the apertures of which become substantially aligned when the cap is inserted onto the container. Integrally molded with one of the flanges is a locking strip designed for one-way passage through the aligned holes, whereby removal of the strip is possible only by permanent destruction thereof. Structure may be provided for preventing relative lateral movement between the flanges.
