  • Patent number: 10418742
Abstract: A connector-assembly includes a connector-housing and a primary-lock-reinforcement device. The connector-housing retains electrical-terminals within terminal-cavities defined by a terminal-tower disposed within the connector-housing. The electrical-terminals mate with one or more corresponding electrical-terminals along a mating-axis of the connector-assembly. The primary-lock-reinforcement device slideably engages the terminal-tower and is moveable from a shipping-position to a pre-stage-position. The primary-lock-reinforcement device has a base and a skirt. The primary-lock-reinforcement device has a post extending beyond an inner-surface of the skirt that engages a corresponding L-shaped slot defined by an outer-surface of the terminal-tower. The corresponding L-shaped slot has a first-leg and a second-leg. The first-leg defines a wall configured to inhibit a movement of the primary-lock-reinforcement device along the mating-axis.

  • Patent number: 10369211
Abstract: The present invention is based on the surprising finding that H5 protein of clade 1 H5N1 induces, in particular by a single-shot vaccination, a cross-clade protective immune response to influenza viruses with H5N1 HA. In one aspect, the invention is thus directed to H5 protein of clade 1 H5N1 virus for use in a method of treating or preventing infections with H5N1 virus of a different clade, namely of a clade different from clade 1 or from any clade with the exception of clade 1, respectively.

  • Patent number: 10349547
Abstract: A chassis cover includes a cover member having a first edge and a second edge. The cover member also includes at least one latch member. The latch member or members include a cantilever arm extending distally outward from an interior of the cover member beyond the first edge by a first distance, and terminating at a loop. A latch arm extends distally inward from the loop a second distance, which may be greater than the first distance. A latching tab extends distally from an end of the latch arm.

  • Patent number: 10092336
Abstract: A bone fracture plate assembly including female and male plate portions. The female plate portion has a post, a female dovetail, and an extending arm with a group of ratchet teeth. The male plate portion has two upstanding posts, a male dovetail for coupling to the female dovetail so that the plate portions move linearly with respect to each other, a slot for the arm, and a pawl for engaging the ratchet teeth. A spring, coupled to the posts of the plate portions, dynamically connects the plate portions by applying a compressive load therebetween. The spring has a pair of elongated ears, each defining a slot to allow for relative movement of the plate portions. The ratchet teeth are engaged by the pawl to retain the plate portions together, and the spring mounts on the posts of the plate portions such that the spring biases the plate portions together.

  • Patent number: 10033121
Abstract: A system (100) includes a threaded boss (101) defining a central axis (104), a metal panel (102), and a fastener (103) to couple the metal panel to the threaded boss. The fastener includes a threaded shaft (105) terminating at a paddle (106), which can be oblong. The metal panel can define an oblong aperture (112), where the paddle is to pass through the oblong aperture when rotated (115) to a first rotational alignment (113) about the central axis. The metal panel can also include one or more retention contours (116,117) disposed adjacent to the oblong aperture. Each retention contour can include a ramp (118,120) defined by a curved central axis (305) and a retention bridge (119,121) defining a recess (122,123) to receive the oblong paddle when rotated to a second rotational alignment (114) about the central axis.

  • Publication number: 20180174180
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing an interactive loyalty reward program for transactions conducted at transaction terminals, for instance, consumer purchase transactions conducted at a point-of-sale terminal. The system includes a server configured to monitor and identify qualifying transactions under the reward program. The server also coordinates operation of consumer-facing devices accessible to the consumer at the point-of-sale. The consumer-facing devices include an interactive value generator (IVG), which is configured to provide a game-like experience to consumers and interactively generates unspecified reward values for qualifying transactions. A loyalty reward application executing on the transaction terminal is also provided to guide consumer interaction with the IVG and communicate the generated reward values to the server.
