  • Publication number: 20110255141
Abstract: This invention focuses on automotive electrochromic (EC) mirrors. There are several ways to improve the attribute of this product and also use superior processing methods. This invention improves on busbars which are used to power these devices. This discloses novel busbar designs, materials and busbar deposition methods. This invention also addresses the composition of transparent conductor coatings which can be used in an advantageous configuration for third surface mirrors, and corrosion resistant reflective coating compositions for EC mirrors. Processing methods to deposit coatings for third surface mirrors are also disclosed. Insignias may also be incorporated in EC mirrors by using conductive materials deposited on the second surface of an EC mirror configuration that is formed b two substrates.

  • Publication number: 20110200628
Abstract: The present invention is related to the obtaining of chimeric chains coding for proteins capable of inducing, in the recipient, a serotype-specific and protective humoral immune response against the infection by the Dengue virus, thus eliminating the effects of the serotype-nonespecific viral immunoenhancement that causes hemorrhagies and clinical complications described for this kind of pathology. These chimeric chains of nucleic acids are composed by the specific combination of fragments belonging to the gene of a mutated protein from Neisseria meningitidis with dehydrogenase activity and fragments that codify for a region of the envelope (E) protein from the Dengue virus which, when inserted to an expression vector, give rise to chimeric proteins with particular properties. The resultant chimeric molecules from this invention are applicable to the pharmaceutical industry for the obtaining of vaccine preparations and diagnostic means of high serotype-specificity to be used in humans.

  • Publication number: 20100270803
Abstract: An irrigation power system is provided for use with a conventional irrigation conduit having water flow therethrough as a source of hydro energy. In order to convert the hydro energy of the water flow to electrical energy, a power generation module is provided along the irrigation conduit. The electrical energy provided by the power generation module is then provided to a power conditioner to alter the electrical energy to produce a predetermined current. The predetermined current is then sent to a storage device for later use. An irrigation system component then communicates with the storage device to receive electrical power for selective operation of the component.

  • Publication number: 20100264574
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a modular printing system with one or more modules having one or more bypass paths and comprise a modular printing system with a module (e.g., a stacker or feeder module) having a main compartment and at least one additional compartment. Contained within the main compartment is a main sheet transport path and a functional component (e.g., a sheet stacking device or a sheet feeding device) connected to the main sheet transport path. Contained with the additional compartment is a bypass path. The bypass path allows sheets to be routed through the module in the event of a print media sheet jam in the main sheet transport path. Because the bypass path is contained within a separate compartment, the jam can be cleared from the main compartment without cycling down the printing system, thereby allowing for continued productivity.

  • Patent number: 7765591
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for filtering data packets through an integrated network security device are provided. Various security operations are performed on the data packets belonging to a network connection while they pass through the integrated network security device in a communication network. A classification engine is applied to the first packet of the connection. The result of this filtering is stored in a per-connection control key, and determines which of the security operations must be applied to each of the data packets of the connection. These security operations may be prioritized and re-ordered, based on the rate at which they detect and drop malicious data packets.

  • Publication number: 20100181884
Abstract: An encapsulated refrigerator shelf is assembled by interconnecting a platform, such as a glass panel, within a peripheral frame. More specifically, a peripheral shelf frame is formed with a split side portion defining upper and lower frame portions which are spaced by an elongated slot. The encapsulated glass refrigerator shelf is made by slidably inserting the platform onto peripheral frame support structure through the slot formed between the upper and lower frame portions. The frame is also formed with retaining structure to maintain the platform in place once the platform is inserted a requisite amount within the peripheral frame.
