  • Patent number: 9023342
Abstract: The tissue grafting method relates to a tissue graft material, a method of preparing the material, and a method of using the material. The tissue graft material is made from the tunica serosa of the small intestine of a warm-blooded vertebrate, which has been delaminated from the tunica muscularis, tunica submucosa, and the tunica mucosa of the intestinal tissue. The tissue graft material may be perforated by discrete punctures. The tissue graft material is dehydrated by air drying or vacuum drying, sterilized with ethylene oxide, and stored in a hermetically sealed enclosure at room temperature until needed, having an indefinite storage life. When needed, the tissue graft material is rehydrated, cut to match the size of the wound, and applied to the wound. The graft may be overlaid with nylon mesh, or bandaged with an elastic tubular dressing.

  • Patent number: 8679417
Abstract: A headless suspended mass transfer and reaction tower system used for the scrubbing, stripping or chemical reaction between gases and liquids. The system comprises an elongated shell having a closed top end and a suspension member configured to suspend the tower from an external suspension support. Various embodiments of the system can be adapted for the purposes of chemical vent scrubbing, absorption, odor abatement, gas-liquid chemical reactions, or similar processes. The tower can be operated in the classical counter current or concurrent flow modes, under pressure, or in a partial vacuum.

  • Patent number: 8414841
Abstract: A suspended mass transfer and reaction tower system used for the scrubbing, stripping or chemical reaction between gases and liquids. The system comprises a top head having a suspension means, a bottom head, and a shell capable of retaining and supporting a suspended packing bundle. The shell is capable of securely and removably attaching to the top head and bottom head, thereby creating a single tower capable of being suspended by the suspension means in the top head. Various embodiments of the system can be adapted for the purposes of chemical vent scrubbing, absorption, odor abatement, gas-liquid chemical reactions, or similar processes. The tower can be operated in the classical counter current or concurrent flow modes, under pressure, or in a partial vacuum.

  • Patent number: 5300306
Abstract: A ready to use heterograft membrane for replacement of injured skin which is prepared by extraction of a mucous membrane from an esophagus of bovine origin. The tissue-equivalent membrane resulting from this process is applied on burns, cuts or wounds to protect the affected area and generally provide an optimum condition for the proliferation of epidermal cells. The membrane has an affinity with tissue cells and integrates to the living tissue. Afterwards, it falls off, leaving the wound area prepared for homografting, or when the epidermis has completely regenerated.
