  • Patent number: 10565327
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for modeling fluid flow in a turbomachine. A specification of a system including first and second blade rows is received. A wake profile from the first blade row is imposed on the second blade row to approximate an influence of the first blade row on the second blade row. Governing flow equations for the fluid flow in the second blade row are transformed in time. Flow variables of the transformed governing flow equations are represented as a Fourier series, and the Fourier series representation is substituted into the transformed governing flow equations to obtain a modified form of the transformed governing flow equations. A pseudo-time term is introduced into the modified form of the transformed governing flow equations. The modified form of the transformed governing flow equations is solved using the steady-state solution method to model the fluid flow in the second blade row.

  • Patent number: 10515161
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for modeling fluid flow in a turbomachine. A specification of a system including at least a stator and a rotor of a turbomachine is received. The stator is coupled to the rotor via a profile-transformation (PT) interface. A flow profile for fluid flow across the PT interface is expanded or compressed based on a pitch ratio between the stator and the rotor. Flow variables of governing flow equations for the fluid flow in the system are represented as a Fourier series with spatially-varying Fourier coefficients. The Fourier series representation is substituted into the governing flow equations to obtain a modified form of the governing flow equations. The modified form of the governing flow equations is solved using a steady-state solution method to model the fluid flow in the system. The modeling utilizes an implicit solution discretization across the PT interface.

  • Publication number: 20190311656
Abstract: The invention relates to a plasma screen that fits different shapes and measurements, which is foldable, pliable and impermeable, with self-adhesive material for placing on any surface. The device is small, slim, autonomous (does not need to be connected to electricity), pliable, foldable (can be folded), impermeable (resistant to water and inclement weather), easy to stick on any surface and very low cost. The device is interactive and comprises a user terminal (1) that brings together all the parts of the device, the terminal taking the form of different-shaped plastic stickers and containing a foldable plasma screen (2) that covers the circumference of same and transmits images and video. All the parts of the device are connected, by means of small cables (9), to an integrated microcomputer (3) with a processor that contains a computer program, a formula and algorithms that allow information processing and transmission and GPS location.

  • Patent number: 10437941
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for modeling fluid flow in a turbomachine. A specification of a system is received. The system includes multiple passages, where the multiple passages include at least an inlet guide vane, a rotor, and a stator. A computational grid is generated with a processing system based on the received specification. Governing flow equations for the system are transformed based on inclination parameters, where each passage of the system has an associated inclination parameter. A rotational velocity of rotating passages included in the system is specified, and a time-step for stationary passages included in the system is specified. Time-steps for the rotating passages included in the system are computed, where the time-steps are computed based on pitch-ratios for adjacent passages of the system. A solution for the system is advanced in time by solving the transformed governing flow equations across the computational grid using computer-based numerical calculations.
