  • Patent number: 11769095
Abstract: An embodiment includes initiating a search engine to conduct a first search of a data resource for information associated with an acquisition candidate using search criteria provided via a user interface. The embodiment receives a first search result from the search engine comprising an information dataset associated with the acquisition candidate. The embodiment generates a candidate rating for the acquisition candidate indicative of a performance metric for the acquisition candidate relative to another acquisition candidate. The embodiment initiates the search engine to conduct a second search of the data resource using search criteria extracted from the information dataset. The embodiment receives a second search result from the search engine comprising due-diligence data. The embodiment calculates an updated candidate rating for the acquisition candidate based on the cognitive analysis of the due-diligence data and uses the updated rating to provide a recommendation regarding the acquisition candidate.

  • Publication number: 20200082282
Abstract: A method for inducing a covert misclassification performed on a non-transitory computer readable medium, the method includes identifying a target position. The method further includes creating a spectral perturbation tensor. The spectral perturbation tensor is configured to shift a projection of an initial spectrum towards the target position. Additionally, the method includes combining the spectral perturbation tensor to the initial spectrum. Further, the method includes classifying the combination of the spectral perturbation tensor and the initial spectrum with an established classifier, thereby designing the spectral perturbation tensor such that the combination is misclassified.

  • Publication number: 20070263944
Abstract: In a first exemplary embodiment of the present invention, an automated, computerized method for manipulating an image is provided. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of selecting matched shadow/lit pairs of image portions from each of separate, different materials depicted in the image, utilizing the selected matched pairs to determine spectral ratio information for the image, calculating a correction term as a function of the spectral ratio information and utilizing the correction term to manipulate the image, to remove effects, such as, for example, path radiance.
