    Abstract: A dye-donor element for thermal dye transfer comprising a support having on one side thereof a dye layer and on the other side a slipping layer comprising a lubricating material and wherein the lubricating material consists essentially of a poly(aryl ester, aryl amide)-siloxane copolymer, the polysiloxane component comprising more than 3 weight % of the copolymer and the polysiloxane component having a molecular weight of at least about 1500.
