  • Patent number: 10734649
Abstract: A synthetic metal dichalcogenide having a highly defected nanocrystalline layered structure, wherein layer spacing is larger than in perfect crystals of the same material, wherein the defected structure provides access to interlayer crystals of the same material, and wherein the defected structure facilitates a pseudocapacitive charge storage mechanism. The metal dichalcogenide is receptive to intercalation of ions such as Li ions, Na ions, Mg ions, and Ca ions, and does not undergo a phase transition upon intercalation of Li ions, Na ions, Mg ions, or Ca ions. The metal dichalcogenide can be used, for example, as a component of an electrode that also includes a carbon derivative, and a binder, which are intermixed to form the electrode. The resultant composite electrode is highly porous and highly electronically conductive, and is suitable for use in devices such as symmetric capacitors, asymmetric capacitors, rocking chair batteries, and other devices.

  • Publication number: 20160338456
Abstract: A gem setting with a tapered basket has a width of a central gem stone plus smaller surrounding gem stones at one end. At another end, the tapered basket is narrower and the central gem stone sits there-within. The smaller gem stones cover at least some of the facets of the larger gem stone, with a continuous visual appearance between the smaller and larger gemstones making the central gem appear larger. The angle offset of the tables of the smaller stones can be equal to that one of an adjacent facet (adjacent by way of visual appearance or actual distance there-to), or an averaged angle of facets which generally face the respective smaller stone. The basket itself can have a flat base with concentric rectangular cross sections and indentations at the top for placement of stones.

  • Publication number: 20110007434
Abstract: The invention discloses an over current protecting device and the method thereof. The over current protecting device is adapted to a DC-DC converter. A voltage output end of the DC-DC converter may generate an output current and transmit the output current to a load on a motherboard via a power copper layer on the motherboard. The over current protecting method includes the following steps: detecting a voltage drop on the power copper layer; controlling the DC-DC converter to operate normally when the voltage drop is smaller than a threshold value; and controlling the DC-DC converter to stop operating when the voltage drop is larger than the threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20020102840
Abstract: The present invention provides a method to form a copper interconnect and avoid a dishing phenomenon on the copper interconnect in the manufacturing process which will cause the metal line thinning and high resistance. By using a cap layer selectively positioned over the dual damascene structure, the method can balance the difference of polishing rate between the copper and the surrounding material. Such we can get a plane surface of interconnect in a chemical mechanical polishing process.
