  • Publication number: 20190123542
Abstract: Apparatus and method for controlling a pyro-fuse. A pyro-fuse control system includes a current sensing circuit and a diagnostic circuit. The current sensing circuit is configured to determine whether the current flowing in conductor exceeds a threshold current. The diagnostic circuit is coupled to the current sensing circuit. The diagnostic circuit is configured to determine whether an indication of current exceeding the threshold current generated by the current sensing circuit is caused by current flowing the conductor and is not caused by a fault in the current sensing circuit.

  • Publication number: 20180184383
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for dynamic transmission power control are provided. One aspect provides a method of wireless communication that includes, at a wireless device, transmitting, at a first power level, a first message to an access point and receiving one or more packets from the access point and a plurality of stations. The method further includes, based on the one or more packets, identifying first and second sets of stations of the plurality of stations, the sets including a first and second station, respectively. The method further includes, after identifying the first and second sets of stations, receiving an additional packet from the access point, the additional packet identifying the second station. The method further includes, in response to receiving the additional packet, transmitting, at a second power level, a second message to the first station, the second power level being less than the first power level.

  • Patent number: 10002051
Abstract: A system and method obtain a set of data and identify successive subsets of data within the set of data. A boundary identifying hash is calculated on a subset of data and compared with a boundary indicating value. If the calculated boundary identifying hash matches the boundary indicating value, a natural boundary is identified in the set of data.

  • Publication number: 20170322610
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for accurately identifying devices coupled to ports of power sourcing equipment (PSE) of a Power over Ethernet (PoE) system as either powered devices (PDs) or non-powered devices (non-PDs). A device coupled to a PSE port can be identified as a non-PD in response to determining a data link is established on the port before enabling the detection of powered devices on the port and before supplying power on the port. Another embodiment includes determining that a device has been coupled to the port, determining that a data link to the device has been established on the port, removing power from the port, and then determining whether the data link established on the port still exists.

  • Patent number: 9766983
Abstract: A computer implemented method and system obtains current signatures of data chunks and performs a proximity search of a library of previous signatures as a function of the likely location of corresponding data chunks. A full search of the library of previous signatures for those current signatures not found in the proximity search is also performed.

  • Patent number: 9021294
Abstract: A survey tool for use in a Recover to Cloud (R2C) replication service environment that determines configuration information automatically (such as through SNMP messaging or custom APIs) and stores it in a survey database. A Virtual Data Center (VDC) representation is then instantiated from the survey database, with the VDC being a virtual replica of the production environment including dormant Virtual Machine (VM) definition files, applications, storage requirements, VLANs firewalls, and the like. The survey tool determines the order in which the replicas are brought on line to ensure orderly recovery, by determining the order in which each machine makes requests for connections to other machines.

  • Patent number: 8700946
Abstract: A recover to cloud (R2C) service replicates a customer production environment to virtual data centers (VDCs) operated in a cloud service provider environment. Customers provision both a disaster recovery VDC and a test VDC. At A Time of Disaster (ATOD), the disaster VDC is made available to the customer through the cloud. The disaster VDC is allocated a first set of resources dedicated to the specific customer and to disaster recovery. The test VDC, brought on line at A Time of Test (ATOT), is allocated resources from second set of resources arranged in a shared pool, separate from the first set. Provisioning of the test VDC does not disturb critical resource assignments needed in the event of a disaster.

  • Patent number: 8504528
Abstract: The various embodiments herein include operate to identify, consolidate, and reduce redundant backup data storage. One embodiment includes storing data blocks and first signatures of data chunks of each stored data block, the first signature of each data chunk including a reference to a storage location of the data chunk within a stored data block, the stored data blocks including data blocks of previous and recent backup sessions. Some embodiments further include storing second signatures in a second signature repository, where the second signatures are calculated based on determined boundaries of the first signatures from previous backup sessions. At least one of the second signatures is calculated based on at least two first signatures, and in the range of 32 to 64 first signatures in some embodiments. Some embodiments may identify data chunks of the recent backup session present in the stored data blocks prior to the recent backup session.

  • Patent number: 8492218
Abstract: A first liner and a second liner are formed such that a peripheral portion of the second liner overlies a peripheral portion of the first liner. A photoresist layer is applied and patterned such that a sidewall of a patterned photoresist layer overlies an overlapping peripheral portion of the second liner An isotropic dry etch is performed to laterally etch the overlapping peripheral portion of the second liner from below the patterned photoresist layer. The patterned photoresist is subsequently removed, and a structure without an overlap of the first and second liners is provided.
