  • Patent number: 11911460
Abstract: A lipid delivery system, a virus-like structure (VLS) vaccine constructed therefrom, and a lipid particle capable of encapsulating an mRNA molecule encoding a SARS-CoV-2-specific antigen are provided. After the lipid particle encapsulates an mRNA molecule encoding a SARS-CoV-2 antigen, a SARS-CoV-2 S1 antigen protein can be embedded on a surface of an envelope structure of the lipid under specific buffer conditions to produce a VLS vaccine with an antigen-encoding mRNA molecule encapsulated inside and an outer membrane presenting a required viral antigen protein. The vaccine has a superior specific antibody-inducing ability to a SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccine and a polypeptide vaccine, can maintain a long-lasting high antibody level, and can also exhibit excellent immune binding abilities for the emerging different variants.

  • Publication number: 20240037815
Abstract: Systems and methods for recreating images from undersampled MRI image data includes capturing undersampled MRI data and enhancing it with multiple cascading stages, each including a data consistency block in parallel to a convolutional neural network (CNN). The data consistency block adjusts each input image by a sensitivity map and performs hard replacement of acquired lines in k-space into the image. The CNN estimates a regularizer term that attempts to minimize a difference between a true image and the output of the data consistency block. At each stage, the output of CNN and data consistency block are added to create a set of output images that feed into the next stage.

  • Publication number: 20230342993
Abstract: Systems and methods for recreating images from undersampled magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) image data remove artifacts from the undersampling. Using trained transformer networks, undersampled k-space data can be acquired and the networks can predict additional projected radial MRI k-space data from the undersampled radial MRI k-space data. Images with fewer artifacts can then be generated.

  • Publication number: 20220135493
Abstract: A method for producing an organic fertilizer enabling an increased microbial diversity and abundance in soil, and use of the organic fertilizer are provided. The method comprises composting fresh S. alopecuroides plants together with sheep and/or goat manure through anaerobic fermentation. It is found through experiments that, by applying the organic fertilizer produced by the method to a soil in which melon plants are grown, both abundance of bacterial and fungal communities in the rhizosphere of the plants and contents of soluble solids and sugar in fruit of the plants are increased. By a combination of taxonomic composition of the microbial communities in the rhizosphere and RDA analysis, it is further found that abundance of multiple bacterial and fungal species conducive to growth and disease resistance of the plants, is substantially increased and positively correlated with the soluble solids and sugar contents in the fruit.

  • Publication number: 20220135936
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a Brevundimonas strain as an endosymbiont of Verticillium dahliae, which is named Brevundimonas olei dahliae olei (B. olei) and deposited with the accession number of CCTCC NO: M 2020392. Morphological identification and diversity sequencing analysis confirm that the symbiont is B. olei. The effect of B. olei fermentation broth on growth and microsclerotia of Verticillium dahliae is explored through a co-cultivation experiment. Observations through electron microscope find that, with the increase of culture time and fermentation broth concentration, the Verticillium dahliae forms fewer conidia, its hyphae swell, rupture, and become abnormal in shape, and its microsclerotia gradually decrease and even disappear.
