Abstract: A method for forming an HSG (hemispherical grain) layer on a storage electrode of a capacitor formed on a substrate is provided. The method includes a step of introducing a source gas into a reacting chamber to deposit a small amount of HSG nuclei on a conductive layer pattern of a capacitor electrode during a step of stabilizing the substrate temperature. After the substrate temperature is stabilized, a larger amount of source gas is introduced into the chamber to form additional HSG nuclei. Thereafter, a step of annealing is performed to form the HSG layer.

Abstract: Provided are a menu navigation method using a user interface (UI), an apparatus and UI having a menu navigation function, and a computer readable recording medium having recorded thereon a program for executing the menu navigation method. The menu navigation method includes: displaying a first screen on which at least one menu item is arranged based on an arc type line; and when a menu item is selected based on the first screen, displaying the selected menu item on an inner side of the arc type line and displaying a second screen on which at least one menu item is arranged on an outer side of the arc type line, wherein the at least one menu item of the second screen is at least one lower layer menu item of the selected menu item.

Abstract: A method of providing a three-dimensional (3D) image and a 3D display apparatus applying the same are provided. If a predetermined instruction is input in 2D mode, display mode is changed to 3D mode. A predetermined format is applied to an incoming image, and the resultant image is displayed in 3D mode. If the predetermined instruction is input again in 3D mode, another format is applied to the incoming image and the resultant image is displayed. As a result, a viewer can conveniently select a 3D image format of the incoming image.

Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) image providing method and a display apparatus using the same are provided. According to the 3D image providing method, if a particular manipulation is input from a user in the two-dimensional (2D) mode, whether an input image is a 2D image or a 3D image is detected. If the input image is the 3D image, the display mode is changed to the 3D mode and the 3D image is displayed. If the input image is the 2D image, the input 2D image is converted to a 3D image and the converted 3D image is displayed by changing the display mode to the 3D mode. Thus, regardless of whether the input image is the 2D image or the 3D image, users can execute the 3D mode using the single manipulation.

Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) providing method, a display apparatus and a three-dimensional (3D) image providing system using the same are provided. The GUI providing method includes: generating a first GUI for changing settings for a 3D image and a second GUI for changing an environment; and outputting the first GUI and the second GUI. Thus, the settings for the 3D image can be changed more easily and conveniently.

The data recording and reproducing apparatus includes: a signal processor capturing images, processing the captured images to generate image data, and generating an image file that includes the image data; a speech recognition unit recognizing speech and converting the speech into text data; and a controller using the text data to generate metadata and adding the metadata to the image file. Accordingly, at a time when images are recorded, metadata is generated as management information corresponding to image contents by using an image contents recording apparatus.
