    Abstract: A washing machine includes a container disposed within an outer housing and having a chamber for receiving clothes to be washed, and a generating device for generating water streams or jets to act onto the clothes and to wash the clothes with the water jets, without typical rotary agitating members. The generating device includes a rotatable member rotatably disposed within the container, and having a helical agitating member for generating the water jets when the rotatable member is rotated relative to the container. A hood is engaged onto the rotatable member, for separating the clothes from the rotatable member. An inner receptacle is disposed in the container to support the hood.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device (100 or 200) includes a first substrate (110 or 210) and a second substrate (120 or 220) opposite to each other, a liquid crystal layer (130 or 230) sandwiched between the first and second substrates; a common electrode (140 or 240) formed on the first substrate, and the common electrode having a plurality of openings (180 or 280); and a plurality of gate lines (150 or 250) formed on the second substrate and positionally corresponding the openings respectively. Moreover, the gate lines can be arranged with the areas of the second substrate corresponding to the openings. The coupled capacitor delaying of signals of gate electrodes in the TFTs can be reduced. Accordingly, flickering can be reduced, and the display performance can be improved.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes a plurality of pixel regions (3), each of which includes a substrate portion (39) and a storage capacitor (37) arranged on the substrate portion. The storage capacitor includes a first capacitor electrode (38), an insulating layer (36) formed on the first capacitor electrode, and a second capacitor electrode (34) positioned on the insulating layer. At least one through hole (380) is arranged in at least one of the first and second capacitor electrodes. With the edge effect of the through hole(s) of the capacitor electrode(s), the capacitance of the storage capacitors can be increased significantly. Therefore, each of the storage capacitors can have a high capacitance without reducing the aperture ratio of the liquid crystal display.
