  • Patent number: 8368752
Abstract: A size estimation method is used with a document camera to estimate an object size. The document camera includes a lens and an image sensor. The size estimation method includes the following steps. Firstly, an object distance between the lens and the object is detected. According to the object distance and a viewable angle of the lens, a shooting zone size is estimated. Then, the object is shot by the lens and the image sensor, thereby acquiring a digital image including an image of the object. Then, an effective pixel number corresponding to the object image is counted. Afterward, the size of the object is estimated according to the effective pixel number, a total pixel number of the image sensor and the shooting zone size.

  • Patent number: 8217684
Abstract: Systems and methods for realizing current drivers without current or voltage feedback for devices that require accurate current drive with zero standby current has been disclosed. In a preferred embodiment of the invention this current driver is applied for write circuits for MRAMs. A fast and accurate reference current is generated by diode voltage divided by resistor without any feedback. The diode current is not fed back from the reference current. The diode current is generated from a regulated voltage. Temperature compensation of the write current is inherently built in the diode current reference. Fine-tuning of the temperature coefficient is achieved by mixing poly and diffusion resistors. A switch inserted in the current driver can turn on the driver fast and without a need for standby current. Leading boost in the current driver can fast charge the large coupling capacitance of word and bit lines and speed up write timing.

  • Patent number: 7761744
Abstract: The invention provides a debugging method applicable for an embedded system. The system includes a processor, a main memory and a debugging interface. A debugging program is first provided in the main memory. A debugging interruption is subsequently triggered to cause the processor to read the debugging program from the main memory and execute the debugging program. After execution, an execution result of the debugging program is stored into the main memory. The execution result is read and output via the debugging interface for further analysis. Because the architecture does not require a scan chain of ITR 104, the circuit requirement is reduced while performance is increased.

  • Publication number: 20080180520
Abstract: A system and method for variable-resolution image saving includes an image capturing member, a data saving member, and an image data processor. A first panoramic image data is captured by the image capturing member in high resolution. The image data is then analyzed and divided into target area and background area. The resolution of background area is lowered to reduce the size of image data. A second panoramic image is then formed with the target area in original high resolution and background area in lower resolution. In this way, memory size and time required for storing and transmitting the second panoramic image data are greatly reduced without loosing important features of the target area.

  • Patent number: 6002604
Abstract: A 5V generator circuit is disclosed that generates a reliable 5V signal for use in integrated circuits from the available VPP or VCC supplies for a wide range of VPP and VCC voltages. When VCC is greater than approximately 4V, the generator circuit generates the 5V signal directly from VCC. When VCC is less than approximately 4V and VPP is greater than approximately 4V but less than about 9V, the generator circuit generates the 5V signal directly from VPP. When VCC is less than approximately 4V and VPP is greater than approximately 9V, the generator produces the 5V signal at approximately half of the voltage level of the VPP signal. When both VCC and VPP are less than about 4V, the 5V signal is generated at the too-low VCC level.
