  • Publication number: 20090257944
Abstract: A method for producing carbon nanotubes uses a polymer as a raw material to undergo in situ thermal decomposition. The method includes steps of mixing the polymer and metallic catalyst through a multiple heating stage process of in-situ thermal decomposition to carbonize the polymer and release carbon elements to produce carbon nanotubes. Advantages of the present invention include easy to prepare, low temperature in manipulation, low production cost, and high safety.

  • Publication number: 20090241051
Abstract: A monitor capable of displaying certain event and method thereof are disclosed. The method comprises the following steps. First, the microprocessor of the monitor is used to receive the event code, and the microprocessor of the monitor is then used to determine whether the event code is stored in a storage unit in advance. The OSD function is enabled and the words corresponding to the event code is displayed on the monitor when the microprocessor of the monitor determines that the event code is stored in the storage unit in advance. Therefore, users can monitor the occurred events from different signal sources simultaneously while watching TV.

  • Publication number: 20090125939
Abstract: A television capable of and a method for changing an output effect based on program types are provided. The television stores a lookup table recording the corresponding relationship between program types and scenario modes and receives a television program signal containing a program type information so as to search the scenario mode corresponding to the program type from the lookup table. Then the television adjusts the output effect, such as an image display effect or an audio output effect based on the searched scenario mode.

  • Publication number: 20080036918
Abstract: An audio control system applied for a television and a method thereof are disclosed. The system includes an analog audio signal input unit, an audio processor, a video processor, an HDMI interfacing unit and a determination unit. The analog audio signal input unit is used to receive an analog audio signal. The HDMI interfacing unit is used to receive an HDMI signal, and extract and output a digital audio signal and a digital video signal from the HDMI signal. The video processor electrically connected to the HDMI interfacing unit is used to process the digital video signal. The determination unit is used to detect the audio signal status of the HDMI interfacing unit, and control the audio processor to receive the digital audio signal or the analog audio signal based on a detection result.

  • Publication number: 20070211903
Abstract: A decimator is used to process a multi-channel audio signal, and includes a memory, a controller and a processing unit. The processing unit is used to decimate each input audio component of a multi-channel audio signal to generate corresponding multi-channel operational data. The controller is used to control read and write actions for each audio component of the multi-channel audio signal and the multi-channel operational data into or from the memory. The memory provides a digital signal process for decimation together with the processing unit. The input of the multi-channel audio and the output of the multi-channel operational data are performed through time division. Compared with conventional decimator circuits, the decimator circuit of the present invention reduces the cost and the power consumption of the hardware circuitry.
