Abstract: The invention provides a method of managing SDIO commands at a host device and a peripheral device. The host device connected to the peripheral device by a bus comprising a command transmission line and a data transmission line, both of which are arranged to transmit single end signal. The host device converts operation requests into converted commands and combines a first SDIO complied data packet with the converted commands to generate a first combined data packet. Then, the host device transmits the first combined data packet through the data transmission line, wherein the first combined data packet comprises a first header for indicating whether the first combined data packet comprises the converted commands. After receiving the first combined data packet, the peripheral device parses the first combined data packet to obtain the converted commands, and then performs processing procedures according to the converted commands.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a memory channel bridge with a BIST module; and the memory channel bridge interfaces other channels in a SOC to access a memory module. During a DFT test, SOC memory channels and the BIST access the memory module concurrently by using an arbiter in the memory channel bridge to arbitrate the traffics from the SOC memory channels and the BIST to ensure the correctness and completeness of the whole design.

Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and apparatus for performing error diffusion are disclosed. For example, the method quantizes an error for a first pixel of a plurality of pixels in a first row, diffuses the error to an adjacent pixel of the plurality of pixels in the first row, performs the quantizing and the diffusing for each remaining pixel of the plurality of pixels in the first row and applies the error that is quantized for each one of the plurality of pixels the first row in a desired number of different directions in a plurality of parallel operations that is equal to the desired number of different directions.

Abstract: A sheet bending device includes a sheet shaping rail having a stationary shaping rail portion mounted on a support member and an articulating shaping rail portion pivotally mounted on the support member for movement from a non-shaping position to a shaping position. A retention member limits movement of a sheet to be shaped relative to the stationary shaping rail portion when the articulating shaping rail portion moves to the shaping position. A “cut-to-size” method is also disclosed to shape a sheet for use in making an aircraft transparency.

The remote controller has a case, a signal receiving unit, a signal processing unit, and a signal radiating unit. The signal receiving unit, the signal processing unit, and the signal radiating unit are contained in the case. The signal receiving unit receives a wireless control signal through an access point (AP) from a mobile device. The signal processing unit converts the wireless control signal into an IR control signal. The signal radiating unit radiates the IR control signal to the IR signal receiving unit of the electric device.

When a computer host is booting up and an external storage device is connected with the computer host, the BIOS of the computer host may read the parameter information recorded in a memory of a bridge unit via a bridge unit of the external device and displays the parameter information without initializing the storage unit and reading the parameter information from a magnetic region of the storage unit.

Abstract: A furnace for shaping glass sheets for aircraft transparencies using the cut-to-size method includes a preheat and cooling furnace defined as a first furnace, and a shaping furnace. A conveyor geared for reciprocating movement moves a bending iron supporting a glass sheet through the first furnace set to a preheat temperature. The glass sheet supported on the bending iron is heated in the shaping furnace by microwave beams from a gyrotron to heat portions of the glass sheet to be shaped to a complex shape. After the sheet is shaped, the conveyor moves the bending iron supporting the shaped glass sheet from the shaping furnace through the first furnace set to a cooling cycle.

The pixel unit includes an image pixel array including a plurality of image pixel columns, respectively; a first reference pixel array including a plurality of first reference pixel columns; and a bias circuit, coupled to the image pixel columns for generating a plurality of column sensing signals, coupled to the first reference pixel columns for generating a plurality of first reference signals, and further for generating a first average reference voltage signal according to the plurality of first reference signals. The pixel readout circuit generates a plurality of reset values and a plurality of sampling values according to the column sensing signals and the first average reference voltage signal, wherein the plurality of reference pixel rows is less than the plurality of image pixel rows.

Abstract: A hybrid organic solar cell (HOSC) with perovskite structure as absorption material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The HOSC includes a conductive substrate, a hole transport layer, an active layer, a hole blocking layer and a negative electrode. The active layer has a light absorption layer (LAL) and an electron acceptor layer (EAL). The LAL is made of perovskite material represented by the following equation: CnH2n+1NH3XY3, n is positive integer form 1 to 9; X is Pb, Sn or Ge; and Y is at least one of I, Br or Cl. The EAL is made of at least one type of fullerene or derivatives thereof. A planar heterojunction (PHJ) is formed between the LAL and the EAL. The LAL has simple structure and fabricating process with relatively low cost, so that it is advantageous to carry out the mass production of HOSCs of flexible solid-state form.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a human identification system by fusion of face recognition and speaker recognition, a method and a service robot thereof. The system fuses results of the face recognition and the speaker recognition, and further uses confidence index to estimate the confidence level of the two recognition results. If only one of the confidence indices of the two recognition results reaches the threshold, then only this result is used as the output. If both confidence indices of the two recognition results reach the threshold, then the two recognition results are fused to output as a final result.

Abstract: A hybrid error correction method and a memory repair apparatus thereof are provided for a dynamic random access memory (DRAM). The memory repair apparatus includes a mode register and a hybrid error correction code and redundancy (HEAR) module. When the DRAM enters a standby mode, the mode register switches the DRAM to be controlled by the HEAR module. The HEAR module generates parity data of the error correction code within a default refresh period. The HEAR module extends the refresh period of the DRAM and uses the parity data for error detection to locate a data retention error in the DRAM until the maximum allowable refresh period supported by the HEAR module is reached. Before the DRAM returns to a working mode from a standby mode, the HEAR module performs an error correction process according to fail bit data and writes corrected data into the DRAM.

Abstract: A fixed pattern noise removal method for an image sensor includes steps of calculating each compensation value corresponding to each pixel column according to a plurality of compensation pixel values of the each pixel column; and sampling a plurality of active pixel values in an active pixel area and compensating the plurality of active pixel values according to the each compensation value of the each pixel column, to generate a plurality of compensated active pixel values. A plurality of active pixels sense light to generate the plurality of active pixel values.

Abstract: Unauthorized URL requests are detected based on individual user's access map(s). An access map describes legitimate paths that a user may be led from one URL to another URL. Additional information on individual URLs forming the paths, such as whether a particular URL is a start URL or a critical URL, is also included in the access map. The access map may be updated based on the most currently available information. When a URL request is made from a client device associated with a user, and it if is determined that the requested URL may potentially suffer from CSRF attacks, then the requested URL and its referral URL are compared against the URL paths in the user's access map to determine whether the URL request is unauthorized. If so, then an alert may be raised.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are for monitoring operational activities in networks and detecting potential network intrusions and misuses. According to one aspect disclosed herein, an intrusion detection system can collect logs from an authentication, authorization, and accounting system. The intrusion detection system can extract information from the logs, update intrusion detection information utilized by an intrusion detection rule based upon the information extracted from the logs, update a profile utilized by the intrusion detection rule, compare the profile and the intrusion detection rule against a running state of an on-going session, tag corresponding log entries with a threat score, calculate the threat scores from the corresponding log entries to create an aggregated threat score, and present the aggregated threat score. The intrusion detection system can also present an alarm if the aggregated threat score triggers an alarm condition.

Abstract: A catalyst-testing apparatus includes a heater, a U-shaped reactor, a gas flow controller, a liquid flow controller, two pressure gauges, a separator and a chromatograph. In use, under control of the gas flow controller, natural gas and air are directed to the U-shaped reactor. Under control of the liquid flow controller, pure water is directed to the U-shaped reactor. The pure water travels down the wall of the U-shaped reactor. The pure water is heated and turned into steam in a front section of the U-shaped reactor. Together with the natural gas and the air, the steam is directed to a catalyst zone in the U-shaped reactor for reaction. With the chromatograph, volumes and compositions of resultant gases are analyzed. Thus, the stability of the performance of the catalyst is tested, and the performance of the catalyst for producing hydrogen by is revealed.

The active device includes a gate, a gate insulation layer covering the gate, a semiconductor layer disposed above the gate, an etching stop layer disposed on the gate insulation layer and the semiconductor layer, a source, and a drain. The gate forms a meandering pattern on a substrate. The semiconductor layer has an area substantially defining a device region where the active device is. The etching stop layer has a first contact opening and a second contact opening. The first contact opening and the second contact opening separated from each other and both exposing the semiconductor layer. The source and the drain separated from each other are disposed on the etching stop layer and in contact with the semiconductor layer through the first contact opening and the second contact opening, respectively.
