  • Publication number: 20030184350
Abstract: The present invention relates to a programmable frequency divider, comprising one n-bit adder and one n-bit D Flip Flop. These are used to transform the import clock to the target clock. The adder takes one adjustment parameter and one return signal as a basis to create the first output signal, with the possibility to program the adjustment parameter. The D Flip Flop and the adder create a cycle, which is used to receive the first output signal and its import clock to create the second output signal. The second output signal is separated into a return signal and the target signal. The D Flip Flop sends the return signal back to the adder, which will make addition calculations under the adjustment parameter, finally giving out the target clock with the target signal as a calculation basis.

  • Publication number: 20030180936
Abstract: A process is provided for the production of substantially pure replication competent adenovirus, together with improved formulations for maintenance of infectivity following storage. In the process, virus infected cells are lysed with detergent. An initial purification step utilizes a pass through a high throughput ion exchange filter. The eluant is treated with nuclease, then refiltered on a high throughput ion exchange filter. The virus formulation provides for enhanced stability of liquid viral preparations at 5° C.

  • Publication number: 20030091538
Abstract: Replication-competent adenovirus vectors specific for cells which allow a probasin transcriptional response element (PB-TRE) to function, such as cells which express the androgen receptor (AR), and methods of use of such viruses are provided. These viruses comprise an adenoviral gene under control of a transcriptional regulatory portion of a PB-TRE, which is in turn dependent upon AR expression. The gene can be, for example, a gene required for viral replication or the adenovirus death protein gene (ADP). The viruses can also comprise at least one additional adenoviral gene under control of at least one additional prostate-specific transcriptional response element, such as that controlling prostate-specific antigen expression (PSA-TRE). Thus, virus replication can be restricted to target cells exhibiting prostate-specific gene expression, particularly prostate carcinoma cells.

  • Publication number: 20030080905
Abstract: A dual band antenna (1) includes a printed wiring board (PWB) (20). The PWB has an antenna trace (10) and a grounding plate (30) respectively disposed on opposite surfaces (20a, 20b) of the PWB. The antenna trace includes a radiating arm (100) and a matching means (13). The radiating arm includes a meandering segment (12) and a linking segment (11). The linking segment links two points of the meandering segment, thereby forming a closed loop. Because of the closed loop, the radiating arm has two transmission paths, one longer path, which does not include the linking segment, and one shorter path, which does include the linking segment. The dual band antenna, therefore, is capable of operating at two different frequency bands because of the two paths of the radiating arm.

  • Publication number: 20030041233
Abstract: A method is provided to reduce strapping devices in a computer system having at least one configurable device, which includes the following steps. A configuration value stored in a non-volatile memory is first provided. During power-up and reset of the computer system, a processor reset signal and a bus reset signal of a high-speed peripheral bus are both asserted, wherein the high-speed peripheral bus is included in the computer system. When an operation clock of the high-speed peripheral bus reaches its working voltage and frequency, the configuration value is fetched from the non-volatile memory. The fetching step is repeated until a most significant bit (MSB) of a fetched configuration value changes from a first state to a second state.

  • Publication number: 20030030585
Abstract: A microstrip printed circuit board antenna includes a printed circuit board (PCB)(1), a plurality of metal sheets (2), and a plurality of microstrip traces (3). A plurality of antenna units is provided on the PCB. Each antenna unit includes one metal sheet, and a plurality of microstrip traces. In each antenna unit, the metal sheet serves as a grounding plane and the microstrip traces serve as a signal unit. The microstrip traces are disposed on both top and bottom faces (10, 12) of the PCB. An end of each microstrip trace forms a conductive through hole (4). Each conductive through hole electrically connects the microstrip trace with a corresponding microstrip trace on an opposite face of the PCB. The conductive through holes are sequentially electrically connected together by the microstrip traces, thereby forming a continuous conductive line. Thus, a size of the antenna unit is significantly reduced.
