  • Publication number: 20190153622
Abstract: This disclosure describes meltblown methods, assemblies, and systems for polymer production. In one such implementation, a meltblown system provides improved uniform output and reduction of fiber size given certain polymer material and production rate. In certain meltblown implementations, the equipment may be ready and quickly swapped while provided in hot standby mode such that the maintenance down time is minimized. The disclosed meltblown equipment may include a polymer beam and air chamber and a die tip assembly. The die tip assembly, in certain embodiments, may quickly be attached onto or removed from the polymer beam and air chamber. In preferred embodiments, the meltblown system includes a single input (e.g., a specific type of polymer material). The meltblown system includes some tapered structures that facilitate polymer flow. The assembly mechanisms used in the meltblown system enables cleaning of the polymer distribution components with each use.

  • Patent number: 9885103
Abstract: A process for providing a corrosion resistant coating on uncoated ferrous components, involving mechanical plating, using as a coating medium a zinc metal-containing powder, such as zinc or zinc alloy powder, or a powder mixture of zinc or zinc alloy and at least one other metal, so as to build up a firmly adherent coating of the coating medium over exposed surfaces of the components, heating the components with the firmly adherent coating to produce solid-solid diffusion to form an Fe/Zn intermetallic over the surfaces, at least in a base layer of the coating built up by the plating, and cooling the components.

  • Patent number: 9397728
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for utilizing close proximity wireless communication (CPWC) technology for a secure out-of-band (OOB) transfer of communication information between two or more devices at close range. The communication information may be used to establish a secure communication channel over a greater distance than possible using CPWC technologies. A host device may include a processing unit in communication with a communication module and a CPWC module. An edge device may include a processing unit in communication with a communication module and a CPWC tag. The CPWC tag may receive communication information from the CPWC module of the host device. In other embodiments, the edge device may receive communication information from an intermediary transfer device. The edge device may then use the communication information to facilitate secure communication via the communication module of the edge device and the communication module of the host device.
