  • Patent number: 11077840
Abstract: A device for addition of motive force to a vehicle, with rotor-plate, rotor-arms, rotor permanent magnets, stator-plate, stator columns, stator electromagnets, and battery, cell, or other energy storage device. The device is retro-fittable on existing wheel assemblies, and installation coverts an internal combustion vehicle to a hybrid with electric propulsion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 8, 2018
Date of Patent: August 3, 2021
    Inventor: Charles Hampton Perry
  • Publication number: 20180337582
Abstract: An improved hybrid drive apparatus with a switched reluctance hub motor. The switched reluctance motor eliminates any drag caused by the existing magnetic fields of the motors used in the prior art by turning off the magnetic fields when not being used. It also is cleaner and more efficient to operate, as any magnetic road dust or debris attracted during operation is dropped or repelled when the magnetic fields are turned off. An improved switched reluctance motor may be used, with a stator ring and rotor ring designed so that the low reluctance flux path does not pass through the full diameter of the rotor or rotor bars. Dual stator rings may also be used.

  • Publication number: 20170274258
Abstract: A pin mount system for releasably mounting a sports net to a ground surface, for example a hockey net to an ice surface. The sports net includes at least one post having an end. The pin mount system includes: a pin having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end for positioning within the post, a resilient member such as a spring coil in compression to normally exert an extensive force to the pin to extend the distal end of the pin past the end of the post, and a handle operably connected to the pin to retract the pin against the resilient member. The pin is releasable from the ground surface in response to an amount of force applied to the sports net, and the sports net stays in place when minor force is applied, for example.
