Abstract: An article of footwear is provided that includes a sole structure and an upper attached to the sole structure. The upper includes an exterior layer and a base layer, and the exterior layer includes a biodegradable layer and a biologically active agent capable of biodegrading the biodegradable layer. The article of footwear has a first state in which the biodegradable layer is not biodegraded.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a garment, especially to a sports garment, which includes a region which is in contact with a wearer during intended use. The region includes at least one material layer. To allow an improved ventilation at those locations where the same is really needed the present disclosure proposes that the region has at least one receiving space in which microorganisms are placed, and the microorganisms are selected to corrode at least a portion of the material layer under certain conditions.

The outsole includes a medial wrap-up, a lateral wrap-up, and a heel wrap-up. The method includes positioning the article of footwear in a first footwear state while sitting in a chair first state. The method further includes positioning the article of footwear in a second footwear state while sitting in a chair second state. When in the second footwear state, the medial wrap-up deforms relative to the first footwear state. The method further includes positioning the article of footwear in a third footwear state while sitting in a chair third state. When in the third footwear state, the heel wrap-up deforms relative to the first footwear state.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods for increasing observed editing rates in the surviving bacteria cells. The compositions and methods presented herein in combination lead to a phenomenon of “edit or die.” Although less cells survive plating and editing, a large percentage of cells that do survive are multiple editors. In one experiment it was found that if a cell survives transformation, plating, and editing, 75% of the surviving cells are multiple editors; that is, 75% of the surviving cells were simultaneously edited with edits at two or more different locations within the bacterial genome.
