  • Patent number: 7627570
Abstract: A method of matching subscriptions to published documents in a content-routed network involves receiving subscription information, receiving published documents, storing the subscription information and the published documents in memory, instructing an accelerator of the locations in memory of the published documents, transferring portions of the stored published documents from the memory to the accelerator on an as-needed basis, providing the subscription information to the accelerator, and processing the portions in the accelerator to perform subscription matching in the accelerator independently of other functions in the content-router. The accelerator preferably includes a pipeline. In this way, efficiently highly scalable subscription matching can be performed efficiently on a very large number of subscriptions.

  • Patent number: 7608344
Abstract: Extruded metal honeycombs are produced by the direct extrusion of a softened bulk metal feedstock through a honey-comb extrusion die comprising a feedhole array for delivering softened metal through a supporting die baseplate to a honeycomb die discharge section, the discharge section comprising an array of intersecting discharge slots that form the walls of an extruded metal honeycomb structure. This process can be optimized by employing a proper pressure gradient for a particular extrudate flow rate, extrudate composition, and wall-drag condition arising from the particular composition of the feedhole wall, as illustrated graphically in FIG. 4.

  • Patent number: 7517379
Abstract: A method of blocking partial cells at the periphery of diesel filters is disclosed. The method comprises plugging the partial cells with a suitable plugging material. In one embodiment, a line of plugging material is applied to either or both of the end faces of the diesel filter along an outermost row of partial cells to block same. In another embodiment, the outermost wall the diesel filter is first beveled to form a beveled edge and uniquely off-set the partial cells. Then the beveled edge has applied thereto a plugging material, such as a line or bead. A honeycomb structure having reduced number of unplugged partial cells at the periphery is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080083490
Abstract: A method of forming a bladder for use in an occupant sensor includes positioning first and second sheets of polymeric film onto a bed. The method further includes positioning a laser beam generator above the bed. The laser beam generator is provided information to describe a path of movement over the bed and is then caused to move over the bed along the path and apply a laser beam to melt the first and second sheets to form a bond between the sheets. A system for manufacturing an occupant sensor bladder from polymeric material is also provided. The system includes a bed capable of accepting two layers of polymeric material and a laser beam generator directed at the bed. The laser beam generator can move along a path above the bed and simultaneously apply a laser beam to the polymeric material.
