  • Patent number: 7637697
Abstract: A trencher boot includes a boxlike structure formed with a compartment extending from an inlet formed in an upper end of the trencher boot to an outlet formed in a lower end of the trencher boot. A cable-orienting structure is formed within the compartment between the inlet and the outlet. The compartment is to concurrently receive three cables from the inlet, guide the three cable to the cable-orienting structure, which interacts with the three cables to arrange the three cables in a V-shaped orientation comprising two of the three cables positioned side-by-side atop a third one of the three cables, and guide the three cables in the V-shaped orientation from the cable-orienting structure to the lower end of the trencher boot and outwardly through the outlet into the V-shaped receiving area formed in the bottom of the trench, which maintains the three cables in the V-shaped orientation.

  • Patent number: 7423098
Abstract: An ethylene polymerization process is disclosed. Ethylene is polymerized in two slurry reaction zones with a C6-C10 alpha-olefin in the presence of a single-site catalyst capable of making a high molecular weight polyolefin. The process yields medium density and linear low density polyethylene having a bimodal molecular weight distribution and a melt index from about 0.10 to about 0.80. Films from the polyethylene have superior impact properties.

  • Patent number: 6756455
Abstract: A high-temperature solution process for making polyolefins is disclosed. Olefins polymerize at greater than about 130° C. in the presence of an activator and an organometallic complex. The complex includes a bridged indenoindolyl ligand. One part of the ligand is a second indenoindolyl group or a polymerization-stable, cyclopentadienyl-like group having an extended pi-electron system. Because the catalysts activate quickly and thoroughly, even with low levels of an alumoxane, the invention provides an efficient way to make high-molecular-weight (Mw>100K) polyolefins.

  • Patent number: 6713585
Abstract: The present invention provides an ethylene copolymer resin that has unique melt elastic properties not observed in ethylene copolymers heretofore known. Specifically, the ethylene copolymer resin of the present invention when in pelletized form has a reduction in melt elasticity (ER) of 10% or more to a final value of 1.0 or less upon rheometric low shear modification or solution dissolution. Moreover, the resin of the present invention when in reactor-made form exhibits at least a partially reversible increase of 10% or more in ER when pelletizing the same. An ethylene polymerization catalyst, a process of preparing the ethylene copolymer resin and a high-impact film are also provided herein.
