    Abstract: A placement method for integrated circuit design is provided. Each net is considered as a soft module. The net will receive a larger penalty if it covers more routing congested regions. Therefore, it is easier to move the nets away from routing congested regions. In addition, to relieve local congestion, a novel inflation method is proposed to expand the area of a cluster according to its internal connectivity intensity and routing congestion occupied by the cluster. Accordingly, it can get better routability and wirelength.

    Abstract: Solutions pertaining to allocating antennas of a user equipment (UE) between connections using different RATs are proposed. A UE has a first connection to a first network and a second connection to a second network, each connection employing a respective radio access technology (RAT). During operation, the UE may identify a precondition of reconfiguring the connections. For example, the UE may intend to change a multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) setting of the first connection in order to release some antennas that can be allocated to the second connection to relieve a communication bottleneck thereof. Prior to reconfiguring the connections, the UE may communicate its intent to the first network. The UE may not reconfigure the connections until a confirmation is received from the first network.

The receiver includes 4n terminations, a plurality of terminal resistors, and a plurality of comparators. The receiver generates a group of voltage levels according to the current signal. Each comparator is coupled between any two terminations so as to generate a group of voltage differences. The decoder converts the group of voltage differences to the digital signal.

The method includes receiving a multi-carrier signal, wherein the multi-carrier signal comprises a plurality of sub-carriers. Channel characteristics of each sub-carrier are estimated according to the demodulated multi-carrier signal. ICI is estimated from the demodulated multi-carrier signal. A system performance is detected. The estimated ICI is subtracted when the ICI exceeds an ICI threshold and the system performance is less than a system performance threshold. The demodulated multi-carrier signal is then equalized is based on the estimated channel characteristics, and the system performance is updated according to the equalized multi-carrier signal.

The base-band receiver generates the error values and error locations according to the received syndromes, and then outputs the error values and error locations to the backend system.
