  • Patent number: 7158849
Abstract: A method for rapid prototyping by using linear light as sources employs DLP (Radiation Hardening Formation) or LCD, together with the portable devices and linear light source to treat the raw material in two stages. The first stage is to spread the raw material to a selected zone by nozzles or rollers and illuminating the material to let the material being processed and have physical o mechanical changes. The second stage is to use more powerful linear light source with the cooperation of the portable DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) or LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) to illuminate the material to make it have a second times of physical o mechanical changes. By the piling up the layers of the material, a complete 3-D work piece is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20060290772
Abstract: The invention discloses a method of manufacturing rapid prototyping workpiece by projecting a laser beam or other light onto the photo-conductive drum to attach powder materials to form a thin layer, and then coat the thin-layer material on a working platform. A point, line or plane light source of stronger intensity is used to go with the DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) or LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) to produce a physical change or a chemical change in the selected projecting region and combine the materials to become an acceptable property. The method comprises three stages of a process and repeats the process to complete a physical workpiece. The first stage refers to evenly spreading electric charges on a photo-conductive drum, and then projects a laser beam or a visible light onto the photo-conductive drum to electically conduct the electric charges and lower the electric potiential.

  • Publication number: 20060213330
Abstract: A method for recycling metallic sludge material includes collecting and precipitating a metallic sludge, and dehydrating the metallic sludge into a dehydrated metallic sludge. The dehydrated metallic sludge is then heated to a temperature ranging from 550 to 850° C., in order to remove hydrogen materials form the dehydrated metallic sludge, and to convert the dehydrated metallic sludge into oxidized metallic particles. The dehydrated metallic sludge may further be crushed into small metallic particles, before heating the dehydrated metallic sludge. The oxidized metallic particles may further be heated to a temperature ranging from 1100 to 1600° C., in order to convert the oxidized metallic particles into a metal ingot.

  • Patent number: 6984295
Abstract: An electrolytic process of ozone generation using platinum-coated titanium grid as cathode, ?-PbO2 deposited on the grid as anode, and batteries in conjunction with supercapacitors as a DC power source is described. No membrane is required to separate the electrodes, and a neutral salt such as NaCl is used to enhance the generation of ozone gas. The electrolytic apparatus comprising a cell, the electrodes, and a bubbler can also be inserted directly in water that needs ozone treatment. As batteries can power the ozone generation, the apparatus can be disposed at point-of-use and away from the city electricity. The electrolytic apparatus can be used for sterilization of water for pharmaceutical industry, household water supply, for surface cleaning of semiconductors, meats, fish, fruits, as well as for disinfection of SPA water and personal hygiene.

  • Publication number: 20050225007
Abstract: This invention applies a new computer and printer integrated technology to aid forming physical objects rapidly, and the method and apparatus are disclosed to satisfy the market requirements for a quick, reliable, safe, and inexpensive operation. The invention coverts a virtual object stored in the storage device of computer through software that slices the virtual object into many layers. The cross-section of the first layer is sent to a printer or a plotter, and the contour domain is printed or plotted by the printer or plotter. The fluid (not limited to binder) in the printer head is coated onto a layer of uniform distributed porous material which allows the powder and fluid to combine with each other; however, the combining process can be either a natural or an artificial process to enhance the binding force between the fluid and powder. After the first layer is finished, the second layer of powder is uniformly distributed on the first layer, and the contour printing process is repeated.

  • Patent number: 6795298
Abstract: A fully automatic deionizer comprising five sub-systems for removing ionic contaminants from various liquids at low energy consumption is devised. Based on the charging-discharging principle of capacitors, the deionizer conducts deionization through applying a low DC voltage to its electrodes for adsorbing ions, while more than 30% of the process energy is recovered and stored by discharging the electrodes. At the mean time of discharge, surface of the electrodes is regenerated on site and reset for performing many more cycles of deionization-regeneration till the desirable purification is attained. In one moment, both deionization and regeneration proceed simultaneously on different groups of electrode modules, and in the next moment the electrode modules quickly switch the two processes. Such swift reciprocating actions are engaged in synchronized coordination of sub-systems of electrode modules, energy management, fluid flow, and automatic control.

  • Patent number: 6766208
Abstract: A method of controlling production quality of a wafer production line. The wafer production line includes a server having a database device, a plurality of manufacturing machines processing corresponding unit processes and a manufacturing executive system coupled to the server controlling the manufacturing machines. When the server determines that the wafers of the current lot do not comply with a predetermined specification, the manufacturing machines handling the wafers can be identified and the manufacturing executive system shuts down the identified manufacturing machines to calibrate parameters thereof. In addition, the wafers of the next lot are directly inspected to verify whether the identified manufacturing machines work well.

  • Patent number: 6661643
Abstract: Deionizers using the electrode configurations of electrochemical capacitors are described, wherein the deionizing process is called capacitive deionization (CDI). During deionization, a DC electric field is applied to the cells and ions are adsorbed on the electrodes with a potential being developed across the electrodes. As electrosorption reaches a maximum or the cell voltage is built up to the applied voltage, the CDI electrodes are regenerated quickly and quantitatively by energy discharge to storage devices such as supercapacitors. In conjunction with a carousel or Ferris wheel design, the CDI electrodes can simultaneously and continuously undergo deionization and regeneration. By the responsive regeneration, the CDI electrodes can perform direct purification on solutions with salt content higher than seawater. More importantly, electrodes are restored, energy is recovered and contaminants are retained at regeneration, while regeneration requires no chemicals and produces no pollution.
