  • Publication number: 20100004936
Abstract: An audio output apparatus includes an audio codec receiving a digital audio signal from a system controller and outputting an analog audio signal corresponding to the digital audio signal to an amplifier through a capacitor, and a switch controller triggered by a trigger signal to output a control signal to the amplifier. The amplifier is disabled to cease outputting the analog audio signal in response to the control signal. The trigger signal is generated by one of the system controller, the audio codec, and a power circuit supplying electric power to the system controller, the audio codec, the switch controller and the amplifier upon occurrence of a condition associated with pop noise, and is outputted to the switch controller before the pop noise is generated, such that the amplifier is disabled in response to the control signal from the switch controller and is unable to output the pop noise.

  • Publication number: 20080162449
Abstract: A method for determining which web page among multiple candidate web pages is similar to a given web page. For each candidate web page, a set of scoring rules is provided to score the components therein. When the given web page is compared against a candidate web page, each component that is found in both the given web page and the candidate web page under examination is given a score in accordance with the set of scoring rules that is specific to that web page under examination. A composite similarity score is computed for each comparison between the given webpage and a candidate web page. If the composite similarity score exceeds a predefined threshold value for a comparison between the given webpage and a candidate web page, that candidate web page is deemed the web page that is similar.

  • Patent number: 7293620
Abstract: A front wheel stabilizing device includes a mount adapted to be secured to a main frame of an electric motor-driven wheeled vehicle, and an axle disposed between two side plates of the mount. A wheel mounting member has a tubular head which is rotatably sleeved on the axle, and a cantilever arm which extends from the tubular head forwardly to terminate at a wheel-carrying end for mounting a stabilizing wheel thereon. The stabilizing wheel can yield under a jolting force that arises as a result of movement of the stabilizing wheel over an uneven ground so as to displace from a more tractive position to a less tractive position. A torsion spring has a coiled segment which is wound on the tubular head, and two urging ends which abut against the mount and the cantilever arm, respectively, so as to bias the stabilizing wheel downwardly, thereby restoring the stabilizing wheel from the less tractive position back to the more tractive position.

  • Patent number: 7276252
Abstract: A drug delivery device such as an oral dosage form (ODF) with a toxic or potent core encapsulated by a non-toxic region. The non-toxic region may be a region including multiple layers, coatings, shells, and combinations thereof, which provides protection to and isolation from the toxic or potent core. The drug in the toxic or potent core is incorporated into the dosage form via, for example, three-dimensional printing, as a solution, solubilization or suspension of solid particles in liquid, rather than by the more conventional handling and compressing of dry powder. This minimizes the likelihood of creating airborne particles of the toxic drug during manufacturing, hence controlling and minimizing the exposure of manufacturing personnel to the hazardous substance. Wet dispensing of the toxic or potent drug further provides greater bioavailability of the drug to the patient.
