Abstract: A garbage can has a holding seat secured in an upper end portion thereof, and a loop-shaped member fitted in the holding seat; the holding seat has a loop shape, an inward loop-shaped protrusion, and a wedge connection portion, which is above the inward loop-shaped protrusion, and has an inward sloping surface; an upper end portion of the wedge connection portion has a larger internal width than a lower end portion of the wedge connection portion; when the loop-shaped member is fitted in the holding seat, it will closely touch the inward sloping surface of the wedge connection portion; therefore, a garbage bag will be secured after it is passed through the loop-shaped member at an upper edge portion, and the upper edge portion of the garbage bag is folded outwards and downwards to cover the loop-shaped member, and the loop-shaped member is tightly fitted in the holding seat.

Abstract: A garbage can includes a containing barrel, and an elastic securing ring; the containing barrel has an upper opening, and an annular groove on an inner side of an upper end; a garbage bag is held in the containing barrel; the securing ring is removably fitted onto the annular groove for pressing an upper end of the garbage bag against the groove such that the garbage bag is kept wide open and held in position, and such that no portion of the garbage bag can be exposed outside the barrel to spoil the look of the garbage can.

Abstract: A container includes a main containing body for containing objects therein, a lid pivotally connected to an upper end of the main body, and a control mechanism fitted to the main body for moving the lid between an open position and a closed position; the control mechanism has a transmission rod, and has a pedal for moving the transmission rod up and down so as to move the lid between open and closed positions. A buffering element is fixedly connected to the main body at one end, and is joined to the transmission rod for counteracting downward movement of the transmission rod when the lid is being pivoted down from the open position to the closed one, thus eliminating noise caused by the lid hitting the main body.
