    Abstract: The present invention relates to an n-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) type palladium catalyst and its preparation method as well as applications. Its preparation process is as below: select glyoxal as the raw material to synthesize glyoxaldiimine in the presence of Lewis acid or Bronsted acid, and then react with paraformaldehyde to get the NHC type ligand. Use palladium(II) to react with the compound containing carbon-nitrogen double bonds to get palladium(II) cyclic dimer; make the palladium cyclic dimer and the NHC type ligand coordinated to get the NHC type palladium catalyst. The palladium catalyst with a brand new structure according to the present invention, boasts high activity and multi-purpose.

    Abstract: A silver compound having a silver complex structure composed of silver ion, 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedionato, and diethylenetriamine is disclosed. A silver ink is prepared by the silver compound applied for inkjet printing of a flexible substrate. A method for inkjet printing of the flexible substrate comprises the steps of pre-heating the flexible substrate to the temperature of 60° C., inkjet printing the flexible substrate with the silver ink thereon, and heating the flexible substrate under a low temperature to form a thin film of silver conductive pattern thereon. The silver conductive pattern has excellent electrical conductivity and a resistance value proximate to that of a general silver slug.

    Abstract: In some implementations, power provided to a computing system, such as a rack system, may be interrupted. This interruption is detected, and in response, power from a battery backup system is directed to the computing system to replace the interrupted power source, which in some implementations may be a main AC power grid source. A signal is received indicating that a backup power source, for example a backup generator system, is online and prepared to deliver power to the computing system. For an initial period of time, this backup power source is prevented from providing power to the computing system. For example, the backup generator system may be providing power to a power supply unit of the computing system, but the power is not allowed to flow to the computing system.

    Abstract: The automatic umbrella has an improved tube unit which contains a first tube, a second tube, and a third tube telescoping together. An inner plug is positioned inside the second tube. A reinforcing tube is housed in the second tube and capable of moving upward through the inner plug. The main spring has its top end against the reinforcing tube, and its bottom end in a lower part of the first tube. The secondary spring is inside the third tube with a top end against the inner plug of the top nest and a bottom end against the inner plug of the second tube. The tube unit enjoys enhanced resilience when the automatic umbrella is opened. When the umbrella is closed, two sets of springs are compressed at separate instants and their resilience cancels each other indirectly. The strength to close the umbrella is therefore reduced.

    Abstract: A method for forming a conductive film at room temperature is provided and includes steps of: adding AgNO3 into a first solution of dodecanoic acid; dropping n-butylamine and a diluted aqueous solution of a reducing agent into the first solution in turn, so as to initially obtain the dodecanoate-protected silver nanoparticles as a capping ligand; then using cyclohexane as a solvent to apply the silver nanoparticles onto a surface of a substrate to form a patterned film of silver nanoparticles; and finally immersing the substrate into a high concentrated aqueous solution of a reducing agent to chemically reduce the patterned film of silver nanoparticles into a conductive silver film. Thus, a patterned film or circuit can be conveniently and rapidly formed, and the silver nanoparticles can be applied to flexible substrates with low material cost and temperature sensitivity.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for maximizing the usage of a testhead of an in-circuit tester is presented. A testhead execution supervisor interfaces between a testhead controller and a graphical user interface used to enter manual tests. The testhead execution supervisor adds tests to be submitted to the testhead to one or more queues according to a priority scheme. Tests may be submitted to the testhead execution supervisor both as manual tests entered via the graphical user interface and as automatically generated tests generated by an automatic debug module. The automatic debug module may automatically generate tests for execution by the testhead that are executed when the testhead is idle, for example when no higher priority manual tests are scheduled.
