An initializer is configured to initialize a voltage level at a first node between the capacitor and the write bit line or a word line. An initial level adjuster is configured to adjust a voltage level of a second node at one terminal of the capacitor. A pulse generator configured to supply a pulse to the initial level adjuster to control the initial level adjuster. A boost signal is configured to be supplied to a third node on the other terminal of the capacitor opposite the first node to boost a voltage level of the write bit line lower than ground or to boost a voltage level of the word line higher than a power supply voltage.

A comparator is configured to compare a tag read from the tag cache memory array with the address, and output a read-hit bit. The read-hit bit is true when the tag and the address are identical, and is false when the tag and the address are not identical. The device further includes a simplified parity-check unit configured to receive and perform operations on the pre-parity bit, the read-hit bit, and a parity bit from the tag cache memory array, and to output a read-parity bit.

Active bonding is introduced into the porous low-k dielectric layer or film to improve damage resistance and chemical integrity of the layer or film, to retain the low dielectric constant of the layer and film after subsequent processing. Introduction of the active bonding may be accomplished by introducing OH and/or H radicals into pores of the porous low-k dielectric layer or film to generate, in the case of a Si based low-k dielectric layer or film, Si—OH and/or Si—H active bonds. After further processing of the low-k dielectric film, the active bonding is removed from the low-k dielectric layer or film.

    Abstract: A power-saving method adapted in a hard disk in a computer system having a CPU and a memory module is provided. The power-saving method comprises the following steps. A data-to-be-written is transferred from the memory module through the CPU to the hard disk filter. A determining module is provided to determine whether a data access frequency of the computer system exceeds a threshold value. When the data access frequency exceeds the threshold value, the determining module further determines whether a request-queuing time exceeds an idle-mode activation time. When the request-queuing time exceeds the idle-mode activation time interval, the data-to-be-written is stored in a temporary storage location by the hard disk filter. When a condition of the computer system is satisfied, the data-to-be-written is written to the hard disk to extend the duration of an idle-mode of the hard disk. A power-saving operating system is disclosed herein as well.
