The method includes: providing at least one display mode, the display mode defines a total display area count displayable showed on a display, an interval to display images on the display, and a predetermined displaying manner; obtaining images and the display mode; generating one or more display areas according to the display mode; and displaying the images on the generated display areas according to the interval and displaying manner.

Abstract: A shake responsive media player is provided. The media player comprises a vibration switch that changes its state between an electrically open state and an electrically closed state during the media player is shaken. The media player also comprises a storage unit, a motion state determining unit, a media file determining unit, and a processing unit. The storage unit stores a plurality of media files and a table that defines relationships between shaking levels and the sampling rates of the at least one group of media files. The motion state determining unit determines a duration of the shaking of the media player and the times of state changing of the vibration switch according to signals from the vibration switch and determines a shaking level according to the duration of the shaking of the media player and the times of state changing of the vibration switch.

Abstract: An electronic device with an alarm clock function includes a storage unit storing an alarm time, audio files and related information; an audio playing module for randomly playing an audio file via an audio output unit which matches the alarm time; an option generating module for generating and outputting preset number options, at least one of them containing the related information of the playing audio file; a comparison module for receiving inputs and determining whether the input matches the related information of the playing audio file; a managing unit for disabling the alarm clock function when the input matches the related information. A method of controlling the alarm clock function is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic device and a method for selecting functions based on orientations of the electronic device. The method includes: a) storing relationships between orientations and functions; b) fetching inductive signals based on the orientation of the electronic device; c) recognizing the current orientation according to the fetched signals; and d) if the orientation is altered, selecting a function corresponding to the altered orientation and displaying a corresponding interface.

Abstract: The vibration switch includes a housing with a chamber formed thereon and extended in a longitudinal direction. Two attachment means are disposed at two ends of the chamber respectively. Two spring means are received in the chamber and attached to the two attachment means respectively. Two electric contact terminals are electrically connected to the two spring means respectively. An electrically conductive inertial weight received in the chamber and disposed between the two spring means. When the vibration switch is jerked in the longitudinal direction, the inertial weight is capable of moving by inertial force from an initial position to positions where the inertial weight contacts or disengages one of the two spring means, making the vibration switch change from an initial state to a switch-on state or a switch-off state; the inertial weight is capable of returning to the inertial position by the spring force of the two spring means.

Abstract: A copy controlling method includes supplying at least two slots for receiving storage devices; determining a first storage device and a second storage device when the two slots are connected with storage devices; determining the free space remaining on the second storage device and if the second storage can accept all files to be copied from the source storage device; copying files from the first storage device to the second storage device, therein the size of the files to be copied is determined based on the free space of the second storage device. An electronic device with a copy controlling function is also provided.

Abstract: A portable electronic device with lens rotation positioning structure comprising an outer casing, a lens main body, a knob, a liquid crystal display and a positioning assembly is disclosed. The lens main body is configured with lens and electronic element required for operation; the liquid crystal display is electrically connected with the electronic element disposed inside the lens main body. Images obtained by the lens main body through the lens are displayed on the liquid crystal display. A first pivot and a second pivot are respectively disposed externally on each side of lens main body with the first pivot securely linked to the knob. The outer casing further consists of an upper casing and a lower casing, which respectively is arranged with a space that can accommodate lens main body, knob and positioning assembly.

Abstract: The present invention provides an image display apparatus and an image display method adapted for the apparatus. The apparatus stores a plurality of image files and metadata of each of the image files, and provides current timestamp. The metadata for each image includes an upload timestamp, a last-displayed timestamp, and a weighted value. A load-timestamp period is a time difference between the current timestamp and the upload timestamp. A not-displayed timestamp period is also a difference in time between the current timestamp and the last-displayed timestamp. The weighted value is calculated according to the load-timestamp period and the not-displayed timestamp period. The apparatus displays selected image files in accordance with the weighted values of the selected image files in an order. The present invention also provides a method of displaying image files adapted for the image display apparatus.

The apparatus stores a plurality of image files and metadata of each of the image files. The metadata includes a selection count and a weighted value of the image file. The weighted value is calculated according to the selection count. The image display method includes steps of: receiving image selection signals; receiving an image display signal; reading the weighted values of selected image files to generate a list in an order according to the weighted values; updating the selection counts of the selected image files; calculating the weighted values of the selected image files according to the updated selection counts, and storing the updated selection counts and the calculated weighted values as metadata; and displaying the selected image files according to the list.

In an exemplary embodiment, the vibration switch includes an electrically insulating housing with a first contact terminal, and an electrically insulating cover with a second contact terminal. The vibration switch also includes a flexible cantilevered member and a metal sheet. The housing includes an opening that has a peripheral surface. The metal sheet is mounted on the peripheral surface and electrically connected with the first contact terminal. The flexible cantilevered member is attached to the cover and electrically connected with the second contact terminal and is received in the opening of the housing. When the vibration switch is shaken in a predetermined direction, the flexible cantilevered member deflects and contacts the metal sheet.

Abstract: An electronic device with an alarm clock function includes a storage unit storing a plurality of questions, corresponding answers, a preset number and a count number; a managing unit for performing or disabling an alarm clock function; a random selection module for generating and outputting a random question; a comparison module for receiving inputs and determining whether the input matches the corresponding answer; a recording module for adding 1 to the count number when the input matches the corresponding answer; and a number confirming module for comparing the count number with the preset number, disabling the alarm clock function when the count number is equal to the preset number, and informing the random selection module to re-generate a random question when the count number is not equal to the preset number.
