    Abstract: Radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag antenna, tags and communications systems using the same are presented. The RFID tag antenna includes a patterned conductive loop having a plurality of longitudinal conductive sections and a pair of transverse conductive sections connecting to each end of the longitudinal conductive sections to serve as a matching network. A pair of extended conductive arms is electrically connected to the patterned conductive loop via two nodes. A bonding pad with an RFID chip disposed thereon is arranged at the central area of the pair of extended conductive arms.

    Abstract: A reconfigurable multi-band antenna system has a signal transmission metal, a ground metal, at least two resonators, and at least two switches. The signal transmission metal and the ground metal respectively act as a signal feed-in end and a ground end and of the reconfigurable multi-band antenna system. The at least two resonators are disposed on at least one side of the transmission metal line. Each switch is coupled to the at least two resonators or one of them. Each switch has a control end, and independently and respectively receives one of the at least two control signals, wherein the at least two control signals respectively and independently the short and open of the switches. The at least two resonators form a resonator configuration of a semi-close resonating configuration or a close resonating configuration, and generates a signal within a frequency according to the resonator configuration.

The meander inductor includes a conductive layer composed of a plurality of sinusoidal coils with different amplitudes and in series connection to each other, wherein the sinusoidal coils with different amplitudes are laid out according to a periphery outline. The profile of the meander inductor is designed according to an outer frame range available for accommodating the meander inductor and is formed by coils with different amplitudes. Therefore, under a same area condition, the present invention enables the Q factor and the resonant frequency fr of the novel inductor to be advanced, and further expands the applicable range of the inductor.

The transceiver comprises a first module, used as the RF front-end of the dual-band transceiver and used for receiving and transmitting a first RF signal and a second RF signal; a second module, electrically connected to the first module, used as the IF IQ modulator/demodulator of the dual-band RF transceiver; a third module, electrically connected to the first and the second modules, used as the tripe-band phase-locked frequency synthesizer of the dual-band RF transceiver and used for providing a first local oscillating signal and a second local oscillating signal to the first module, and a third local oscillating signal to the second module. The dual-band RF transceiver according to the present invention realizes the dual-band triple-mode operation of IEEE802.11 a/b/g by a single dual-band RF module, and therefore the circuit size, power dissipation, component count, and cost can be dramatically reduced.
