The method includes generating, via the controller, a control signal responsive to an output current power factor associated with the inverters and producing a discontinuous pulse width modulation reference signal based upon the control signal and a target output power, the discontinuous pulse width modulation reference signal being indicative of shifting a phase angle between current and voltage. A gating signal is generated for output from the modulator, as a function of the reference signal and a carrier waveform. The gating signal adjusts the phase angle to prevent switching of the semiconductor gates.

    Abstract: A system and method for operating an inverter to maximize an overall efficiency of a power system is disclosed. A power system includes an inverter having an arrangement of switching devices that are selectively operable in On and Off states to invert a DC output to an AC output having controlled current and voltage. A controller selectively controls operation of the arrangement of switching devices via a discontinuous pulse width modulation (DPWM) scheme, so as to regulate an average voltage of the AC output. In controlling operation of the arrangement of switching devices via the DPWM scheme, the controller is programmed to generate a DPWM reference waveform having an initial phase angle, determine a system efficiency of the power system during operation, calculate an optimal phase angle for the DPWM reference waveform based on the determined system efficiency, and generate a DPWM reference waveform having the calculated optimal phase angle.

The Ni-based alloy powder includes the following components in mass fraction: C: 0.1˜1.1%, Si: 0.5˜6.0%, Fe: 2.5˜15.0%, B: 0.2˜5.0%, CrB2: 6.0˜26.0%, and the balance of Ni. The Ni-based alloy powder is employed as the main component and CrB2 and WC are added, thus improving the wear resistance of the wear resistant material. Experimental data show that, the wear resistant material provided in the present disclosure has the hardness up to 70˜80 HRC and excellent wear resistance. A wear resistant impeller can be manufactured from the wear resistant material.
