    Abstract: A method to build a 3D model for a physical object includes the following steps. First, depth information of a plurality of images is converted into a plurality of 3D point clouds. Then, the motion parameters of the camera to gather each image relative to a previous image are determined according to the 3D point clouds. Next, a registration energy estimate value of each image's 3D point cloud, as being integrated into a previous image's 3D point cloud, is determined according to corresponding motion parameters. Then, the motion parameters are varied to minimize the estimate value. An optimal camera path is determined according to the varied motion parameters. Finally, a 3D model of the physical object is built according the optimal camera path.

    Abstract: A portable electronic device uses the initial heartbeat value to calculate a possible heartbeat variation. Then a reference range is determined. Only the real time heartbeat value falling in the reference range is output as a correct real time heartbeat value. Thus, the too large or too small erroneous heartbeat values influenced by the vibration noise are eliminated to precisely output the correct real time heartbeat value. Therefore, the extra vibration sensors need not to be installed to lower the cost and to reduce the volume.

    Abstract: Finding the first bit that is set in an n-bit input word includes generating n n-bit patterns from an n-bit input word. If the bit at one bit position of the input word has a logic 1 value, a corresponding pattern has a logic 1 value in a corresponding bit position and in each bit position left of the corresponding bit position, and a logic 0 value in each bit position right of the corresponding bit position. If the bit at the one bit position of the input word has a logic 0 value, the corresponding pattern has a logic 0 value in every bit position. The n patterns are combined into one merged n-bit pattern. An output n-bit pattern is generated from the merged n-bit pattern. The output pattern has a logic 1 value in one bit position that is the same as the rightmost bit position of the input word having a logic 1 value, and a logic 0 value in every other bit position.

    Abstract: An improved structure of billboard is provided with a transparent layer, an image layer, and a base layer wherein a protective film is disposed on the image layer. The protective film, being through the high-temperature and pressurized process, makes the image layer to be attached to the bottom surface of the transparent layer. Next, the non-transparent and non-reflective base layer is placed on the bottom surface of the image layer to complete the assembly of the billboard. Therefore, just apply an adhesive layer on the bottom surface of the base layer and the billboard can be pasted on the wall or door panel. Owing to non-transparent and non-reflective characteristics, the base layer can effectively prevent shadows from appearing on the image layer to adversely affect the appearance of the image layer due to uneven paste on the adhesive layer or light irradiation on the adhesive layer.
