    Abstract: Systems and methods are described for implementing a coordinator within a coordinated environment, which environment includes set of coordinated devices managed by the coordinator. The coordinator can be provisioned with a set of tasks, each task corresponding to a segment of code that can be executed by the coordinator, such as to manage the coordinated devices. To assist in execution of the tasks, the coordinator can include a communications manager that enables communications between tasks. The communications manager can provide a language-independent interface to call for execution of tasks, pass information to a task, and obtain outputs of a task. In some embodiments, the communication manager may utilize a language-independent protocol, such as the hypertext transport protocol, and be configured to respond to requests addressed to uniform resource identifiers associated with the communications manager.

    Abstract: A multilayer flashing water ball apparatus includes a water ball main body, a base and a light transmissive plate module. The water ball main body is light transmissive and includes a platform with an installation slot. The light transmissive plate module includes at least three light transmissive plates inserted into the installation slot. The surfaces of the light transmissive plates include continuous corresponding patterns formed thereon, and such patterns are visually related to each other to form a serious of motion sequence. The bottom portions of the light transmissive plates correspond to the light emitting elements. With the light source of the light emitting elements flashes sequentially, the continuous corresponding patterns inside the water ball main body generate a dynamic visual effect.

The coordinated devices may include devices configured to be managed remotely, such as thin devices, devices with alternative primary functions (e.g., appliances, household objects, etc.), or devices with limited localized user interfaces. To manage the set of coordinated devices, the coordinator can execute tasks, each task corresponding to a set of portable code executable by the coordinator to implement a desired functionality. A user may generate one or more tasks, and submit them to a service provider environment for deployment to the coordinator. The service provider environment can utilize a device shadow to notify the coordinator of the obtained tasks, and thereafter deliver the tasks to the coordinator, thus modifying a configuration of the coordinator.

    Abstract: A hemostatic material, a preparation method thereof, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same are introduced. The hemostatic material includes 200 to 1600 parts by weight of water-insoluble gelatin and 100 to 1000 parts by weight of hydrating material. The preparation method for the hemostatic material includes the steps of (a) providing 200 to 1600 parts by weight of water-insoluble gelatin and 100 to 1000 parts by weight of hydrating material; and (b) combining the water-insoluble gelatin with the hydrating material to form a hemostatic material. The pharmaceutical composition includes an aforementioned hemostatic material and active pharmaceutical ingredients. Through the aforementioned hemostatic material, hemostatic products can increase the blood absorption capacity.

    Abstract: Methods of improved selectively for SAM-based selective depositions are described. Some of the methods include forming a SAM on a second surface and a carbonized layer on the first surface. The substrate is exposed to an oxygenating agent to remove the carbonized layer from the first surface, and a film is deposited on the first surface over the protected second surface. Some of the methods include overdosing a SAM molecule to form a SAM layer and SAM agglomerates, depositing a film, removing the agglomerates, reforming the SAM layer and redepositing the film.

    Abstract: Methods of depositing a film selectively onto a first material relative to a second material are described. The substrate is pre-cleaned by heating the substrate to a first temperature, cleaning contaminants from the substrate and activating the first surface to promote formation of a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) on the first material. A SAM is formed on the first material by repeated cycles of SAM molecule exposure, heating and reactivation of the first material. A final exposure to the SAM molecules is performed prior to selectively depositing a film on the second material. Apparatus to perform the selective deposition are also described.
