  • Patent number: 8272005
Abstract: An information monitoring and updating method and system for a transport stream is provided. First, a transport stream is received. The transport stream includes a program specific information (PSI) table, and the PSI table is divided into a plurality of sections. Next, by setting a first filtering parameter of a monitor-section filter, the header of each section of the PSI table is filtered out and is then checked whether to be a latest version or not. When all the section headers of the PSI table are of the latest version, each section of the PSI table is filtered by setting a second filtering parameter of a table-section filter.

  • Patent number: 8179919
Abstract: Disclosed relates to a method and apparatus for data transmission in broadcast networks, in which N×K pieces of inputted application data are segmented into a matrix BN×K formed by N blocks B1-BN. Each of N blocks contains K pieces of application data, and both N and K are greater than 1. A matrix CM×N with full column rank N is selected, where M?N. After that, an encoded data module consisting of M row matrix E1-EM is generated by performing a matrix multiplication on CM×N and BN×K. Then, for each I, 1?I?M, two row matrixes CI and EI are packaged, and all of the M packaged data (CI, EI) are sent out.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes micromechanical devices and methods for using such devices for characterizing a material's strength. The micromechanical devices include an anchor pad, a top shuttle platform, a nanoindenter in movable contact with the top shuttle platform and at least two sample stage shuttles. The nanoindenter applies a compression force to the top shuttle platform, and the at least two sample stage shuttles move apart in response to the compression force. Each of the at least two sample stage shuttles is connected to the top shuttle platform and to the anchor pad by at least one inclined beam. Methods for using the devices include connecting a sample between the at least two sample stage shuttles and applying a compression force to the top shuttle platform. Application of the compression force to the top shuttle platform results in a tensile force being applied to the sample. Measuring a tip displacement of the nanoindenter is correlated with the sample's strength.

  • Publication number: 20110239356
Abstract: A urine bottle adapter is provided. The urine bottle adapter has a hollow body which meets human ergonomics. The hollow body includes an open end and a flow guiding hole opposite to the open end. The open end of the urine bottle adapter is compliant with ergonomics, so that it can comfortably cover the user's private part. There are internal screw threads in the flow guiding hole. By means of the internal screw threads, an empty PET bottle can be screwed into the flow guiding hole, thus the empty PET bottle would be used to hold the urine. Therefore, the urine bottle adapter could transform an empty PET bottle into a urine bottle. The empty PET bottle can be easily washed and used repeatedly.
