  • Patent number: 8502929
Abstract: A display apparatus and a method of driving the same are provided. The display apparatus includes a backlight module, a liquid crystal panel and a controller. The backlight module has a plurality of light emitting regions capable of emitting light individually. The liquid crystal panel is disposed at a side of the backlight module. The controller is electrically coupled to the backlight module and the liquid crystal panel. When the liquid crystal panel updates a left-eye image to a right-eye image row by row along a column-direction, the controller sequentially turns on and off the light emitting regions along the column-direction, such that a whole region of the liquid crystal panel lighted by light emitting region displays the left-eye image or the right-eye image.

  • Patent number: 7708407
Abstract: Motion blur associated with hold-type display devices may be reduced by eye tracking compensation. Eye tracking compensation may depend on the magnitude and direction of a motion vector, which may be used to generate a human-vision image compensation signal. An original input image signal and the human-vision image compensation signal may be used to generate and output a compensated image signal. As a result, motion blur arising from eye tracking characteristics is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20090302118
Abstract: A card reader includes: an insulating casing having a plurality of terminal openings, a plurality of first insertion slots and a plurality of second insertion slots, the terminal openings being provided at a rear end of the insulating casing, the first insertion slots being provided at intervals on upper ends of the terminal openings, the second insertion slots being provided at intervals on lower ends of the terminal openings; a plurality of first conductive terminals lodged in the first insertion slots of the insulating casing respectively; and a plurality of second conductive terminals lodged in the second insertion slots of the insulating casing respectively. Via this arrangement, the thickness of side walls of the first insertion slots and the second insertion slots is larger, so that the side walls of the first insertion slots and the second insertion slots may not crack easily during formation.

  • Publication number: 20090179850
Abstract: A three-dimensional liquid crystal display (LCD) system may adjust the luminance of a backlight source to prevent a user from seeing a residual image. A backlight source may provide a darker first luminance when the system is updating frames and a brighter second luminance when the three-dimensional LCD system is in a blanking period. Residual images problems are thus avoided and electricity may be conserved.
