    Abstract: An ultra wide band (UWB) optical absorber based on multilayer transition metal layers is provided, and a working band thereof includes a visible-near infrared band or a mid-infrared band; a high reflecting metal film layer, a transition metal film layer and a dielectric film layer are sequentially stacked on a substrate; the high reflecting metal film layer, multilayer transition metal film layers and the dielectric film layer form a planar multilayer structure. The high reflecting metal film layer is used to prevent light transmission, and the combination of the multilayer transition metal film layers and the dielectric film layer reduces the reflection, thus achieving the effect of efficient optical absorption in UWB. The optical absorber can achieve an average absorptivity of more than 92% in the visible-near infrared band of 400-2500 nm, and an average absorptivity of more than 80% in the mid-infrared band of 3-16 ?m.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes example service takeover methods, storage devices, and service takeover apparatuses. In one example method, when a communication fault occurs between two storage devices in a storage system, the two storage devices respectively obtain running statuses of the two storage devices. A running status can reflect current usage of one or more system resources of a particular storage device. Then, a delay duration is determined according to the running statuses, where the delay duration is a duration for which the storage device waits before sending an arbitration request to a quorum server. The two storage devices respectively send, after the delay duration, arbitration requests to the quorum server to request to take over a service. The quorum server then can select a storage device in a relatively better running status to take over a host service.

In some examples, the one or more cameras are low profile and may be located less than 15 mm, and preferably less than 10 mm, of the wrist of the user. In some examples, a system includes a wearable band and one or more imaging sensors. The one or more imaging sensors are disposed to have a field of view that is anatomically distal when the wearable band is coupled to an arm of the user. The one or more imaging sensors each define an optical axis spaced from the wearable band of less than 15 mm, and preferably less than 10 mm. The image data may come from a single camera mounted on the back of the wrist which captures images of the surface contours of the back of the hand to infer hand poses and gestures.
