    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide an electronic device including processing circuitry and a method for radio resource management (RRM) measurements. The processing circuitry determines, based on a signal received in a serving cell for the electronic device, a location and mobility of the electronic device. The electronic device is in one of a first state and a second state for RRM measurements. A normal level of RRM measurements is implemented for one or more neighboring cells when the electronic device is in the first state, and a relaxed level of RRM measurements is implemented for the one or more neighboring cells when the electronic device is in the second state. The processing circuitry determines whether the electronic device is to be switched from the one of the first state and the second state to another of the first state and the second state based on the mobility and the location.

    Abstract: Various solutions for power saving for New Radio (NR) carrier aggregation in mobile communications are described. An apparatus receives, from a wireless network, a trigger signal. The apparatus switches between a first bandwidth part (BWP) and a second BWP of at least two BWPs for a secondary cell (SCell) in response to receiving the trigger signal. No physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring is configured for the first BWP while PDCCH monitoring is configured for the second BWP.

    Abstract: In one aspect, a User Equipment (UE) performs Radio Resource Management (RRM) measurements on downlink signals with a first cycle period equal to the UE's Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle period. The RRM measurements cycle period is lengthened when UE detects that a signal quality measurement of the primary cell is greater than the sum of a positive offset and a signal quality measurement of a neighboring cell having the best signal quality among all of UE's neighboring cells. In another aspect, a UE de-multiplexes a paging indication which precedes a Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) in time and is generated using the same sequence generation formula as that for generating a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS) in the SSB. From the de-multiplexed paging indication, the UE detects that it is paged for message reception and wakes up to receive the message in a next data reception period of the UE's DRX cycle.

    Abstract: A UE in a wireless network performs RRM measurements according to power saving schemes. The UE receives Synchronization Signal Blocks (SSBs), which are broadcast periodically from a base station to a cell served by the base station, and receives additional signal blocks transmitted periodically from the base station. The additional signal blocks and the SSBs use different time-and-frequency resources. The UE performs an RRM measurement according to information received within an RRM measurement window including at least one of the additional signal blocks and a corresponding one of the SSBs. Additionally or alternatively, the UE performs RRM measurements on SSBs with a first cycle period equal to a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle period. In response to an indication that a predefined condition for the RRM measurements is satisfied, the UE performs the RRM measurements with a second cycle period which is at least two times of the first cycle period.

    Abstract: A method of UE power profile adaptation to traffic and UE power consumption characteristics based on power profile is proposed. In one preferred embodiment, hybrid of bandwidth part (BWP) and power profile is proposed. UE is configured with multiple BWPs and each BWP includes a set of power profiles. Two types of adaptation triggering can be used, a first type of trigger is based on power saving signals sent from the network, and the second type of trigger is based on timers. When the traffic characteristic for UE changes, the network can send a power saving signal to UE to trigger power profile adaptation, e.g., BWP+power profile switching. When traffic has been digested and becomes sporadic, then power profile adaptation can be triggered based on timers, e.g., a timer for BWP adaptation and another timer for power profile adaptation.

    Abstract: A method of UE adaptation to traffic and UE power consumption characteristics based on power profile is proposed. A power profile comprises a set of restrictions on range of values of a subset of RRC parameters that are power consumption relevant. Each power profile targets for a particular traffic characteristic. Further, UE parameter adaptation can be triggered with the help of UE assistance information, e.g., the index of the power profile best fits the operation condition. In one preferred embodiment, hybrid of bandwidth part (BWP) and power profile is proposed. UE is configured with multiple BWPs and each BWP includes a set of power profiles. Within a BWP, only one of the power profiles is active at a time; the parameter configuration of each power profile corresponds to a specific traffic characteristic.

    Abstract: A sensing method of a touch panel is provided. The touch panel includes N control lines, M groups of sense lines and a touch sensor array having a plurality of sensors arranged in M rows and N columns. The N control lines are coupled to N columns of sensors. The M groups of sense lines are coupled to M rows of sensors. The sensing method includes the following steps: alternately driving the N control lines to alternately enable the N columns of sensors to detect a touch event, wherein P control lines are driven at a time such that P sensors within each of the M rows of sensors are enabled simultaneously, and P is a positive integer greater than one; and receiving P sensing results generated by the enabled P sensors through a corresponding group of sense lines, and generating a sensing output according to the P sensing results.
