  • Publication number: 20050202945
Abstract: A thermal spray grit roller includes a roller shaft having an outer periphery and a roller body connected to the outer periphery of the roller shaft. A grit layer comprising a multiple individual grit particles is deposited on the circumferential outer surface of the roller body by a thermal spray process. A method for manufacturing the thermal spray grit roller includes collecting raw materials for use in the method, including at least one roller subassembly, having a roller body connected to a roller shaft, and the application material. The outer surface of each roller body is degreased. Then, any portion of the roller body outer surface that will not be covered by the grit layer is masked. Finally, the grit layer is formed on the roller body outer surface with a thermal spray process.

  • Publication number: 20050042376
Abstract: The present invention is a method for the deposition of a thin film of a pre-determined composition onto a substrate, the thin film comprising ternary, quaternary or higher sulfide compounds selected from the group consisting of thioaluminates, thiogallates and thioindates of at least one element from Groups IIA and IIB of the Periodic Table. The method comprises volatizing at least one source material of a sulfide of a pre-determined composition to form a sulfur-bearing thin film composition on a substrate and simultaneously inhibiting any excess quantity of sulfur-bearing species volatilized from the at least one source material from impinging on the substrate. The method improves the luminance and emission spectrum of phosphor materials used for full colour ac electroluminescent displays employing thick film dielectric layers with a high dielectric constant.

  • Patent number: 6791038
Abstract: An electrical switch includes a casing, first and second fixed contacts, and a moving contact lever having first and second parts for contact with the first and second fixed contacts, respectively. A spring resiliently biasses the lever into contact with both of the first and second fixed contacts. There is also a pushbutton movable between first and second positions to cause the lever to move into contact with and out of contact from the fixed contacts, respectively. The pushbutton and spring act upon the lever at respective positions that are offset from each other. The lever is pivotable by the pushbutton in one direction to separate the first part from the first fixed contact and, subsequently, in an opposite direction to separate the second part from the second fixed contact.

  • Publication number: 20030033430
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for identifying the flow of data between a source and destination in a network. A pair of flow monitors may identify a plurality of data packets flowing between a pair of measuring points in a network. The flow monitors may then compare address information of each identified data packet. When the flow monitors identify matching addresses through the comparison, the addresses of the corresponding data packets are associated with the flow between the measuring points. Once the flow between the pair of measuring points is identified, the flow monitors may compare the header information of the data packets associated with the flow to determine the direction of the flow between the measuring points.
